Youghiogheny River — Local services in Upper Tyrone Township

Summer is beautiful in this area. I don't own a boat anymore but still love visiting the area. Weekends can get a bit crowded with people and vehicles at the dock, but there always seems to be plenty of room on the water. There is also a small beach area that is popular with parents and their young ones. I'm a long way from being young anymore, but I still like to wade in the cool mountain water on a hot day. There are so many good things about the yough River. It's lazy and slow but that undertow will get you if you aren't careful always wear a little preserver even if you're an advance swimmer and especially have one on every child no matter how good he or she is at swimming it's not worth their lives for a cooler look put the best on and save their lives remember they are extensions of you and they do what you do so...

I literally live one mile from this river and my fiance's family own SEVERAL acres of land on it. All summer we will watch people either on the banks or on the water fishing.
