My favorite river to kayak. I have kayaked 40 out of the 60 miles. The first 10 miles is too shallow to navigate. The only portion I have not done is the final 10. The upper section is pretty calm and scenic, the middle section is is most suited for paddling and stopping to have fun with friends or swim, and the lower portion has lots of rapids to make for a challenge. The water is crystal clear and offers decent trout fishing. The last canoe livery is Mad River Adventure, below that is where things get dangerous.
