Nueces River — Local services in Uvalde

Beautiful River. So clear. Nice stop on our road trip. Great place to cool off. River rocks leading to the river were quite deep. We were in a 4x4 Jeep Rubicon and had no issue, but we saw others with 4x4 trucks struggle to make it back up. We were there in a holiday weekend and it can get quite crowded with people and tents. River was flowing and the water temperature was perfect! Little shade, so make sure you bring sunblock, cooler and a sunshade. My travel buddy got out his fly fishing pole and caught SEVERAL fat little perch and a small largemouth bass while we were there for a couple of hours. Very nice place to enjoy the water. Comfortable day at the river. The only thing bad is all the rocks everywhere. Car and truck got stuck, gravel is very lose. Even walking down the hill was a little rough to get to the water. Although had fun...
