This place has really went to the dumps. Vendors are constantly having issues with their merchandise being stolen, in off business hours. People are breaking into the booths, and the sad part is who is behind it. At one point about 3 years ago there seemed to be hope for the small business owners who were trying to make a honest dollar. This place has lost so many vendors, and on top of that there was a fire causing damage. Since the fire it has switched hands, so maybe a hopeful future for the I40 fleamarket. It will take running off the people who are there supposedly watching over the place, and the company they keep. Its sad when you know who is stealing, and performing illegal activities, and watch them make money off other vendors...
Read moreThis is a great place to go if you love yard sales. You can find some really good deals on used items if you are patient. Most of the folks selling items will barter on prices, some will ask you to make an offer. Don't expect a shopping experience with products staged with meticulous placement. Some of the buildings caught fire a while back but it appears that they are working to get everything back up and running. The place is starting to look better given they are painting all the buildings the same color. The "Cafe" is more visually attractive than before the fire. Read moreThe reason for 5 stars is because of some of my fondest memories of being a kid and my papaw Rogers would take me to this market place it was a different name way back then close to 40 years ago but I still remember those trips after he passed away my mom and dad moved me to Robbinsville we would still come back several times a year to visit family and friends and they would always stop me by the market and we would walk around and shop I don’t know what it’s like now I haven’t been in probably 20+ years but I’m planning on making a trip after the holidays and I’m going to take my son down there and hopefully he will grow up to have the same fond memories of time spent...
