My husband and I were 86'd from this store for eating a doughnut while shopping although we paid for them at checkout. Mel was very rude about everything and treated us like thugs. She also preceded to say "I warned your buddy too, so watch your back." We told her we were married for 10 years. She said nothing. Unfortunately for her she failed to follow company guidelines as it is her responsibility to practice due diligence and identity the customer before berating and talking down to us like we didn't understand English which is unnecessary and damaging to a person, especially someone challenged. How hard is it to ask questions? We both have permanent brain damage and diabetes, hence the quick bite. This is not the first time this has happened and we filed suit and won, the federal government has a no tolerance policy on mistreatment of individuals who have difficulty functioning. Store and employee were fined and fired new management was put it. My husband went into the bank there to pull out money and has never been 86'd in his life, prior to his head injury he worked for the state of Oregon legal department, Bank of America, local law enforcement and he was treated with such disrespect from Mel and berated in front of other people with no shame as if he was a criminal that stole thousands of dollars. He has a heart condition as well and he almost passed out in the parking lot. It was 2 doughnuts that ended up being paid for. Never stolen in his life. We filed suit and will win this too......
Read moreOnly getting 3 stars because there is only TWO employees that are this way!! The rest are AMAZING!!
I have a service dog. He is small. Typically, I have no issues with employees and they treat me just like everyone else which I love.
But there are two. I don't know their names. I will be trying to get their names if they keep harassing me.
Employee #1 tells me that "OUR POLICY is that any and all "service" dogs must be leashed with all four feet on the floor", and while she's saying this she's reaching out to TOUCH my dog, then seems offended when he clearly wants no part of that. My dog is less than a foot tall. It would be literally impossible to do his job from down there. I don't not put him in the cart, I set him down when I need to. He has a job to do and your 'policy' is illegal.
Employee #2 glares at me CONSTANTLY. I seriously feel like she's following me around just to make nasty faces at me.
These two employees have given me the WORST anxiety! I wish so badly there was another grocery store in town because my dog starts alerting me for high heart rate as soon as we even pull into the parking lot. It's nothing short of...
