We got to stay at The Boat View House. LOVED it! I was so impressed with the variety of ways we were made to feel welcome. Clean and plenty of room, comfortable beds and furniture, lots of towels and, (VERY important for us), a tower of dog friendly items! A full kitchen with dishes, utensils and cooking implements. A washer and dryer are in the apartment as well.
One of the beds is king size and comfortable. An adult son who is very tall, 6' 5", was able to join us. His health situation requires not to be cramped and having room to relax. He slept very well and had room to do morning excercises in his room. We slept well in the room with 2 queen beds. The large dog beds we brought fit with us also.
A bag of treats, a roll of dog litter bags and sheets approved for dog use! Dog beds and dishes available too. Good sized beds for a Labrador or smaller.We have never had that benefit at any other hotel, this is our first Airbnb stay. I did contact Maria before our stay to let her know it was 2 dogs. When she didn't balk, I dropped the bomb that has prevented stays in some hotels. Two adult Great Danes. Maria said they will be happy to welcome us. One of our dogs is 12 years old, 131 in Great Dane years. Back to back trips requiring our joyful participation made us reluctant to leave the care of our pups to sitters twice in such a short span of time. We gratefully were able to have them with us. I brought sheets to drape furniture surfaces, the pups are snugglers. Our hosts had already provided for such situations!
Even the family staying in the apartment above us were a joy to meet. Our pups were happy to meet such friendly people.
The image of the steep front steps gave us pause. Our senior pup found the secondary access much more manageable.
If I must find something to complain about, one step surface on the front steps had a hole in it.
