It's a drive-in so I'm going to love it no matter what but there were some issues. First of all, as expected, they don't have radio's on the stall poles anymore. Instead you tune your radio into a channel they broadcast the score to. That's fine and actually better than the old way in my opinion but they should probably have some speakers around in case someone doesn't have a working radio. The lot is dirt right now, I'm hoping they put some gravel down so things don't get so muddy. My shoes were caked by the end of the night, but they are newly opened so maybe they will be doing that later. The biggest issue I had was that they started the movie too early. It was about 8:45 and the sun was technically down but the sky was still really bright and it made it hard to see the first movie. The concessions were cheaper than at a regular theater, but were also lower quality. The popcorn was cheap and husky and all the food had been cooked earlier and was sitting under warmers which makes for soggy fries and just makes it less desirable to me. The highway location is not so great, twice cars drove by laying on their horns the whole way just to be rude. The staff was really nice and overall it was great to be there. I would also recommend they add a playground for kids up front under the screen.

UPDATE: I have been back since this post and it has improved a ton. They added a playground but it's back by the concessions which have also improved 110%. They even have a little arcade inside. If you still don't want to buy their food they have an option to bring your own for a fee, I can't remember if it's $20 or $25 per car but one of the two. There's gravel in the lot and rows are marked by lighted row numbers at each end and in the middle where there is a lighted and roped off walkway up to the concession stand. They still start too early in my opinion but other than that...

There’s something uniquely timeless about a drive-in theater, a piece of Americana that refuses to fade, glowing softly under the stars. You don’t just go to a drive-in to watch a movie; you go to remember what it feels like to slow down.

As you pull in and find your spot, the gravel crunches under your tires, and for a moment, life feels simpler. The air hums with quiet anticipation, families unpacking lawn chairs, kids wrapped in blankets on tailgates, couples sharing popcorn under the dim wash of the screen. The faint static of the FM radio blends with the scent of buttered popcorn and the distant chorus of crickets.

Then, as the sun sets and the screen flickers to life, the world beyond those glowing frames seems to pause. The drive-in is one of the last places where time bends, where a movie can feel like a small miracle again. It’s not about high-definition sound or luxury seating; it’s about the shared experience of wonder, framed by the night sky.

Every car holds its own little world: laughter, quiet conversations, maybe a first kiss, or a child’s wide-eyed awe. And when the credits roll and engines slowly start back up, there’s always that moment, headlights reflecting off the screen, where you wish it could all play just a little longer.

The drive-in isn’t just nostalgia; it’s proof that some things don’t need to change to...

I'm not a drive in expert, my review is entirely of the staff. I went to see Ghostbusters tonight and box office service was full of jokes and really started our date night off on the right foot! Customer connection is often lost but not here! It started as a calm warm day and just as we got settled nebraska weather got more bipolar than my Dad. So to avoid peeing my pants or giving my bones frostbite I thought I was brilliant just taking my whole comforter for the frigid journey of roughly 20 yards. Brilliant until I froze in the doorway. I don't wanna take my blanket in the bathroom.... but I have to pee NOW! By the grace of God Almighty, the sweetest girl I ever met, immediately understood and set aside her broom to hold it for me so I could save my kidneys from permanent damage and not have to burn my comforter. 2024 is weird and everyone is stressed. I've come accustomed to granting grace and exercising empathy for less than desirable customer service. I honestly forgot what it was like to have an entire staff be happy and helpful! I had a great date night and $22 is totally worth a little restored faith...
