The Skatin' Rink — Local services in Valley

I brought my kids here for their first time skating on a Saturday at 12 pm. The parking lot was packed, and I was scared it would be crazy inside, but to my surprise, everything was run so smoothly, and it never felt overcrowded. We quickly paid, exchanged our shoes for our skates, and made our way to the side of the rink where there was entry of room to sit. The positives: The gentleman in charge was fantastic and friendly and made us feel very welcome. The guy with the skates was also very kind and helpful. Picking up skates and returning them were a breeze. The prices were great, $6 for rental and entrance, and snacks were very affordable as well. There were plenty of sitting areas, the music was great, and the games for the kids were a real hit with our 6 year old. No one was rude, including the patrons. I love going to this skating rink! It’s the closet from Auburn as a university student! I do wish there were more opening times, but I understand rollerskating isn’t as popular of a hobby as it used to be. The price to get in and have food isn’t too bad and understandable! I recommend keeping a $20 on you. Got to keep the place running somehow! I hope that during the days they are closed, they could work on having a smoother floor in some areas and cleaning their rentals of debris. Song selections aren’t bad either, good for the general group that goes. They always have a referee there and he’s reallllllly good at skating! Magic Valley has been renamed The Skatin Rink under new management. The place is always clean and well kept. The new owners are very friendly and sincere about providing a good place for family fun and entertainment. I have not been here in years, but with the rink closing in Auburn, my kids and I visited a recent Saturday After noon. The floors are clean, bathrooms clean, snack bar clean... (The exact opposite of the rink in Auburn, AL that was closed). Im happy that a location is now only 30 minutes away to take the kids. When Auburn closed, our closest were almost an hour drive.
