Post'l Point FamCamp — Local services in Valparaiso

Just got back and have to say... this was a very disappointing visit and site. No camp host so the place was disgusting. Dog crap all over, (not surprised since the poop bag stations were overflowing and empty of bags.) There was so many bugs that it was torture to sit outside. Does Eglin never get a c130 to spray? Pity... this place could be alot, nicer.

No picnic tables at our site. I had to go rob one for a few days. No one could answer the outdoor rec phone to advise me of my sites locations, spots are not easy to decipher. They are all over the place. Signs are missing and its basically a free for all. Why bother paying - No one came to check on us, or validate a reservation at all.

Bath house is like a stank sauna filled with sewage odor and basically its falling down. Totally disgusting, shower curtains have cigarette burns and feces smeered all over them.

Eglin needs to shut this place down and refund us our money. I've actually never been on such a sloppy air force base... Shameful. Don't even get me started on the gate guards. Had to get my wife a pass and Im DoD.

Someone told me they are shutting this place down... it really shows. Do yourselves a favor and go stay at Tyndall. We have concrete pads and bug...

Great view but for some reason they won’t allow more than 3 vehicles in a spot even if it doesn’t bother anyone else. We had visitors and had a couple of vehicles because they drove here and they weren’t in the way or bothering anybody. They want the people to park 300 yards away just to stay for an evening. And they don’t care if you're military they kick you out so at least they don’t discriminate. But if you can get past that it’s a pretty good place to stay. But some of the rules are ridiculous so just make sure you know them because even barely breaking them could get you kicked out even if it’s not bothering anyone. And the sewage smell spreads to the spots so bring something to...

Beautiful campground right next to the water, located in Eglin AFB! The hosts on site are very polite and attentive and the community is well maintained. The shower, bathroom and washing machines at the camp work well too!

My only reason for 4 stars is that there are no sewer hookups at the camp sites, this requires moving my trailer to the dump site during a longer stay.

Overall, a great campsite with only minor inconveniences if you are...
