Absolutely LOVE this park where advantures meet education! Past remembered by present and community comes together as one!... Children up to age 12 invited to climb multiple layers of outdoor play ground...as they discover their ways through the ladders, and slides they will learn about amazing most beautiful bugs that there are - butterflies! Oh, and they have so many of them...I even spotted two real ones flying by! It is still a park so you can reserve two very large pavilions...and one gazibo...all available with a simple phone call to the Park Administration. To the right of the playground you can find a community garden, I believe it's free to use for anyone, all you must do is request a spot in the spring and place your name on a land... Grow your own veggies! Learn, have fun, meet others in your community. Once a year they release butterflies ...it's a free event, you just need to call and let city know that you wish to release a butterfly! A bit more to the right, or right across from the parks administration building located a one of a kind place - it's a memorial to the fallen citizens of our community in past WWI and WWII. Bring you kids here, let them read the names of the people who laid their lives for our freedom. Almost forgot...found two painted stones here, took a picture of them and passed them to a mother with two boys who played in the park. Keep them coming, fun...

You can see lots of birds, butterflies, insects, and depending on the time of day, some wildlife. The pavilions are nice and pretty well maintained. Bathrooms are standard and only have cold water with no dryers. The community garden is lovely to see and watch grow. People work very hard maintaining their lot(s) and grow some amazing fruits and vegetables! Keep in mind, it is not for public picking. People work hard to grow these foods and donate a lot to the food pantry and local shelters. Please...
