Dollar General — Local services in Venango Township

It's convenient to have it in the heart of nowhere, especially in a pinch. But you won't save money on foodstuffs here, or anything else really. You are paying for the perk of having it in the boonies! But I am glad it's here. It has saved my family and I when we go to make a recipe, or start a project, and we realize we forgot flour, or tape, or a cleaner of some kind. But I must caution against going if you are in a hurry. This Dollar General store has the SLOWEST cashiers in history! Customer service is not their strong point. Plan an extra 5-10 minutes for just standing at the register. And that's only for one or two people ahead of you. If there's more than that, bring a chair, because you...

This store DOES NOT honor their advertised prices!!!! Rold Gold pretzels are 3.65 for one, $6 for 2, according to 2 different labels on the shelves! However, the manager at 5pm on 2/24/25 tells me that the vendor put that price tag there and they can only go by the price it rings up, which was $7.30! Oh yeah????? Love shopping at the store the only thing i don't like after dark it is very hard to see the driveway because they never put the big sign out by the road that would help light the driveway after dark any of the new stores going up they have them up before the store even opens great store ...
