Desi needs — Local services in Vernon Hills

Great and convenient place to get your Indian Groceries. There are a few in the area - but this is my go to place. Primarily, because of the great customer service provided by George (cashier/butcher) and his team. You do not usually find this level of service; at an Indian Grocery store.

I actually stopped coming here for awhile because of the previous cashier (who was very rude). But, once George and his team - started managing customer relations this has become my go to place. He is welcoming and goes out of his way to make sure the customers are happy. It's not always easy dealing with some customers - but I've seen him go out of his way to work with and meet the needs of some really difficult/unusually demanding/petty/self-entitled customers.

His whole team is hardworking and provides exceptional world class customer service. He is also a very knowledgeable butcher and always provides - high quality meat! I don't buy my Goat meat anywhere else. I highly recommend checking out the store; and ask for George if...

If i could give a negative score to this store it would be “-10”. These people are just rude. I bought a breakfast batter last time came home and opened it and noticed the batter was rotting. I went back to the store to return. This person didn't even apologize, on top of it this old man said, oh you noticed because you know how it is supposed to be but most people dont know so they just eat it.( OMG the nerve of this person to even speak like that ) Today i bought some yogurt, when i opened it this thing smelled really bad and was milky. I went back to return it and told them about it and he says oh not an issue take another, i told him to return the money, again no apology. Doesn't even feel empathy slightly for the inconvenience.

People if you are falling sick after eating any thing bought from their refrigerators trust me its because you bought it from this place...

I've been buying Indian groceries and meat for past 7 years. Though I moved far away from this location, I come all the way for Indian spices, goat and chicken. Very good Indian grocery store with halal meat stall. One stop for Indian vegetables, groceries and meat. Now constantly improving with their varieties, stocks and staff are very friendly and helpful.

Butcher (George ) is very friendly and serves fresh meat. We don't buy meat anywhere else except this shop and no complaints for these many years in it's quality. Trustworthy. I wish they sell fresh fishes also instead of frozen fish.

Great hardworking team and have special offers during festival seasons too. They sell fresh samosas, briyani, rotis and jaelabis. Highly...
