Apple Farm Service — Local services in Versailles

We're long time customers of apple farm service. We unfortunately purchased a used bean head for our new combine after tragically losing ours in a fire. This head was on our combine for a hundred feet or so before it stopped. Two different local shops looked it over before my husband contacted apple, who said they would see if they could fix it. Turns out the head is TOTALED and was when we purchased. The person who called my husband with the news told him our only option is to claim it on our insurance... like we wrecked it? Excuse me, what?! We already had a major claim with our fire and don't need their problem to become ours. Unfortunately, I guess this is how they do business.

And due to you reiterating how much we paid for the head, I guess when a company such as APPLE FARM SERVICE gets so big, you just don’t care about the small family farms, only the guys buying brand new equipment for several hundred thousand dollars. This head was sold as “field ready”. When it stopped working, the head started folding itself up in the middle as if there was too much tension. Found a place where they call their parts changers technicians. Took skid loader in for steering problem. Diagnosed bad hydrostat. Replaced at a cost of $5700.00. Take it home and same problem. Took it back and diagnosed with bad left hand wheel motor. Wants another $2700.00 to fix that. I guess we would just keep changing parts at my expense until the problem goes away. At this point I am convinced I bought a hydrostat that I didn't need. Nothing wrong with left wheel motor. I wouldn't be able to sleep at night if I ripped of one of my customers like that. The wheel motor was just a coverup for screwing up the first go around. Maybe you need the money worse than I do. Either way I am out $5700.00 with nothing to show for it.
