Creekside Salvage: A Countryside Treasure Hunt Near Vienna, Illinois If you're looking for a unique shopping experience and enjoy a scenic drive, Creekside Salvage outside Vienna, Illinois, is an absolute must-visit. This charming, small Amish store offers a delightful journey through the countryside, setting the tone for the hidden gems you'll find within. Creekside Salvage isn't your typical grocery store, and that's precisely its appeal. As a salvage store, their inventory is a constantly rotating treasure trove of items that are expired or nearing expiration, have damaged packaging, or are simply overstocks. This means every visit is an adventure, and you never know what fantastic deals you'll unearth. From pantry staples to unexpected finds, the variety is surprisingly broad. Beyond groceries, they also carry a selection of other goods, including traditional Amish hats and crafts, adding to the unique charm. The ever-changing stock is a key characteristic of Creekside Salvage. This means if you see something you need or truly want, it's wise to grab it then and there, because it might not be available on your next trip. This "get it while you can" philosophy adds an exciting element of discovery to each visit. So, if you're in the area and appreciate a good bargain along with a pleasant drive, make sure to carve out some time for Creekside Salvage. It's more than just a store; it's an experience!

Lovely place. Small, but so much food for so little. Many damaged and expired foods, but all still viable. They have about eight aisles of food, and a restroom too. They sell name brand items and some "homemade" stuff. Not the "Amish bakery" I was expecting. Lots of items that you didn't know you could still find. I could have cleared some of the shelves for $100 easy. It was difficult staying below the $20 we brought, because I wanted to buy nearly everything. Cash only!! Edit: Returned two days later and spent $40 and got 5 bags of stuff.

Sandy and I drove about 2 hours and 17 minutes to get to this little Amish grocery store. We were in Hope for baked goods, and at the point in time, they were out😢. I will say the young lady working there was as helpful as they came. What she didn't know was that she made her way to someone else who could answer our questions and give us directions. If everyone was as sweet as the people we met in and around this area, life would be so much better
