So the other day — around the 23rd of February of this year, but I'm not really sure — I was with a group of (undisclosed) super secret individuals all in a packed car, all with the same intention of going to this kinda spooky place. Not gonna lie, it was a really suspenseful moment... it was, during the build-up to Black Star. A few Fridays previously (I can't exactly remember on what Friday it was), we only drove up to the entrance before going back to our homey homes because one of our mom's had a curbfew. :( Anyway, that aside, the intensely suspenseful drive up the near pitch blackness was kinda scarry... but we had a bucnh of snacky snakcs on the way (which consisted mostly of one bag of chips and a agua ballon) so we were fine for now — with emphasis on the 'now' part. So we pulled on on the parking lot and went inside, near the pre-Star walk part in the sandy path near a buncha darky darkness. (See pics attaced.) For a moment, from the sand path we saw some northern lights manifesting within the forest-like threshold, though it was just a guy and two others with some fIashIight,s which we somewhat lacked but that doesn't really matter because we we're already going deep on the path. (Kinda.) Most of the hike was me feeling a slight feeling of endurable exhaustion, but one of the first notable things happened when we heard a sort of screech (Most of the group chopped it between each other.), in which we booked it backwards for a short bit. I wasn't really eeried out, but that gave me a good R.L. scare, not gonna lie. After that, we kept on with barely half of the the huddle using their flashlight, which, prompted one of the guys to point out why we hadn't prepared further and gotten more lighting when we walking to and fro' the elongated trail. . . . Eventually, we were hit with a fence talking about prohibited something-something, but we ended up walking all the way back, which, at that point we we're all exhausted, though not exhausted enough for us to not sluggishly drag ourselves to car. Even better after the 30 to 45 minutes spent travelling back was how we were now hungry, and on the way we stopped by a MacDonalds which was unfortunately closed even though it didn't look like it was. So, we hitted up a local Del Taco, & using the ten dollars on me, we bought enough tacos for everyone (which totaled to six people, maybe). Afterwards, it was mainly an odyssey which we had to endure due to the amount of people we had to drop off to their abodes. This culminated with me sleeping (on the way) for less than half an hour before finally arriving home around 2am. . . . Stats: Journey To Black Star (traveling): 6.9*/10* Journey From Black Star (traveling): 4.2*/10* The Food: 7.1*/10* (i was hungry :)) The Actual Walk Inwards: 6.6*/10* The Actual Walk Out of Black Star: 4.0*/10* Final Verdict (in stars): 5.8*/10* (The actual result was a 5.76, but I rounded up to a 5.8, though I personally would give it a 5.9, or perchance a solid 6.0 from all the pictures I took and the myriad of jokes which were funny enough for me to slightly boost this rating, though a 5.8 is still a fine enough rating for me.)

It's a little boring at first, walking along a road, but once you reach the trail to the falls, it's much more interesting. The trail follows the steambed and crosses is it a number of times, which is kind of nice, because there are no bikes and fewer people than on the road in. This trail is nice to do with a group, it can be a relaxing hike for socializing or telling ghost stories about the canyon. It's one of the few places close by where you can do a decent...

Great place to hike, I suggest going the day after a rainstorm to really get a good waterfall flow! Oh and pack in pack out please people! Also this place is someone property (Edwards ranch I believe) so please be respectful and don't be an pompus jerk and graffiti all over the WILDERNESS!

PS this hike has lots of bouldering so be prepared for that, pack lots of water (and snacks to eat at...
