Great naturistic 27 hole course. Played callow and meath 9s.....so gotta get back and play birr. Very challenging couse. It was cut well. Lots of bends and terrain with positional plays. Some fairways had very established trees in them or sand traps you really had to play around. Greens were awesome and in solid shape. Fairways well tended to. Really nice practice range layout off to the side isolated and putting greens galore. Staff was greating and the rangers and starter were really keeping people paced well so it was a great experience. Lots of established trees and nature. The course was really laid out well too where holes werent playing into each other. The course rates were really fair for this quality of a course and the experience it offered. Grand clubhouse house and good pro shop. Only thing i couldve asked for is electric gps carts; but then there is no 6 star rating here. Totally would play here again. I cant wait...
Read moreHave played in several golf outings at this beautiful golf course thru the years and always am amazed at how immaculate the fairways, teeboxes, sand traps and decent greens are as they do a lot of business golf outings and in most cases, courses that do these get damaged due to "duffers" who participate but only play golf that one time each year and inevitably chew up the courses with bad shots as they don't play often and cannot help the damage they do. But a few weeks back and playing in a fairly large outing, my colleagues and I were amazed at how they had the course again in perfect shape They also have an excellent facility for the outings as well with a beautiful deck that overlooks one of the greens and the teebox for another. Excellent under cover bar area and nice seating for post-round drinks and eats that can accommodate large groups very easily
Highly recommend this course not just for outings but for individual...
Read moreWorst golf outing of my life, customer service was below average and yelling at my children they were drinking with myself. After confiscating our “beverages”, we were followed throughout the course and shunned from purchasing beverages throughout the course. This was the worst experience imaginable while golfing with your children and family. The ironwood course workers had no sympathy and provided us with the worst customer service I have set with at a course. Would not recommend this course whatsoever and hope that this helped someone before they decided to book a tee-time. They’re are plenty of county courses around and have much better customer service...
