This store is just gross. I hate going here, it's always dirty and prices are ALWAYS mismarked. If the people stocking don't have to read tags how can you expect the customer to read its in the wrong spot? Also many items with no marked prices like the bottled water. Today I stopped because it was 12 degrees and taking 2 toddlers in and out multiple times sounded worse. My absolute last straw was the woman bagging licking her fingers to open the bags. I asked her to find a different way as it's cold and flu season and she rolled her eyes at me and kept doing it. The lady on the cash register walked around to open a few bags and I started bagging my own stuff once I emptied my cart. Now I could have avoided this if I had used self check but it was a $355 trip and I had a 2 and 4 year old with me that were already on my last nerve. If they had selfchecks with the conveyer belt like pick n save does I would have considered it. Anyways I let the service counter know to get her a sponge pad (after they finished their personal conversation for a good 2 min before I was acknowledged) and instead of taking the pad to the woman they just told her to take a small break! Needless to say I don't think I'll ever be desperate enough to walk foot in that store again. Pic was one of the price issues I got them to honor the $17 one which was $10 less than it should have been. This is the Pewaukee/Sussex location.

Nilla Wafer Persian: For a grocery store bakery, I’ve been pretty impressed with the doughnuts at my local Meijer (although the selection is sadly wildly inconsistent). A Pershing/Persian is a doughnut that is similar to a cinnamon roll but is made with doughnut batter. Meijer has had a plethora of Persian varieties lately, with one of them featuring Nilla wafers. The surface of this pastry contains a lake of vanilla pudding with sweet cream cheese frosting bordering it like a beach. Three mini-Nilla wafers can be found within the pudding as the finishing touches. The cinnamon flavor of the pastry's body is sweet and relatively subtle with no uncomfortable burning/heat to it. Cinnamon granules can be seen in the dough after taking a few bites if you look closely enough. I found the dough to have a nice thick and chewy texture while also being light and pillowy. At first, I wasn't digging the texture of the pudding as I'm used to the whole thing being frosting, but it grew on me with each bite. It's not my favorite variety from Meijer, but it was still delicious. Doughboy approved šŸ˜‹ Doughboy_Food_Reviews

Started going here just for the Muffins, Cookies & Starbucks! But once I started buying other stuff here, figured out this will be my one stop shopping for everything I need: Grocery - Good quality produce, dairy and egg with prices as low as Aldi. Got a bike for the summer here, love it! Good floral collection and greeting cards by check out! Baby products - They have most of things you need with good savings on them. Home and garden - You will find things you look for! Overall good quality with great saving thru coupons and the meijer app (love the app) The aisles are kept clean and frequently updated! Most of all the signs can be seen from anywhere so you don’t have to roam around! The staff are nice, friendly and helpful!

This isn't a review about the store itself, but the online shopping situation. I apologize for the length. I understand with current events that shopping is difficult. Many people are ordering online which makes it very busy. Meijer's uses an outsourced company called shipt, not that that's made obvious on their site, but when you have issues you are still told to call Meijer. I placed my order early this morning (I received the confirmation at 7:03am) for a time slot that was available (1-2pm, there was also a 10am open slot). At 1am as I am pulling into the parking lot i receive a text saying that my "delivery" has been pushed back to 3pm. This is confusing because I didn't order it to be delivered I wanted to pick it up from the store. I continue to walk into the store to question why it's going to be delivered, the customer service desk can't help they have no information about it whatsoever, but they point me to one of the Shipt shoppers. She apologizes for the issue and proceeds to look up my order but can't find it and can't actually search for it by my order number (what's the point of having a number if they can't look it up by that information? The whole reason I'm not shopping myself is because I had surgery and can't lift the heavy objects, plus with such high demand I assume the quantities ordered get adjusted as a hold on store inventory as the order is placed. That's how it's done with some other corporations that shall not be named here. So I return home and wait until my new time, at which point I receive another text stating it's been pushed back again. I attempt to call Shipt at this point as was directed by the shopper and sit on hold for 45 minutes until I get tired of it repeating "For orders from Meijer's contact their customer service for a faster service" (paraphrasing) So I hang up and call Meijer. After waiting another 35 minutes I finally get hold of someone who's response boiled down is, "I'm sorry, we're busy, there's nothing I can do." So I ask about canceling my order because at this point I can probably find a family member and guilt them into helping me shop. No they can not cancel my order because it is after my original delivery time of 1pm. While writing this I recieved yet another text alert stating that my order has been pushed back again. So now I can't shop for myself, my groceries aren't done yet, and according to other online grocery shopping sites, the orders are pushed out to friday. Worst experience ever. Pay your neighbor to shop for...

Return Process Issues: Initial Return: I visited the store to return three items. While I did not have my receipt, I had the credit card used for the purchase. Two of the items had tags, and the customer service representative processed the return for those items without issue. Third Item: For the third item, which did not have a tag, I informed the representative that I could provide the item for scanning as it was on record with my credit card. After retrieving the identical item, a cashier named Rebecca took over the return process. Despite my explanation that I did not have the receipt but could verify the purchase through my credit card, Rebecca claimed they were experiencing issues and could not process returns this way. She had me insert my credit card in and it clearly stated on my end that my credit card was identified but she lied and said they couldn’t find my info. She insisted on seeing my ID and then started my return. As she was standing there doing some stuff on the cash register I dug through my wallet and found the receipt for the item I needed to return. Rebecca told me she it could only be processed as store credit, even after I found the original receipt.

Self-Checkout Issue: 7 for 7 Deal: During my subsequent shopping, I took advantage of the 7 for 7 deal and used the self-checkout. After completing the transaction, I realized the discount was not applied. I went to customer service, where a different representative handled the issue by issuing a $7 refund. This was inadequate, as the correct refund amount should have been over $15, and no receipt or explanation was provided.

Overall, I am extremely dissatisfied with the level of professionalism and service I received. The staff's handling of my return and the self-checkout issue were both problematic and poorly managed. It is clear to me that this location requires additional training to improve customer service and ensure that staff can handle such situations effectively.

I hope that this complaint will lead to improvements in service standards at the Pewaukee location. Thank you for your attention to...

Very clean and organized store. Nice employees. Some prices are very reasonable, especially on sale items; others not so much. The store has a somewhat upscale feel until you find out you’re in charge of weighing / labeling produce and checking out your own items.

I was in the store on a Wednesday night around 10pm. I had a long day and a long drive home ahead of me.

In the produce area there’s a scale and it seems expected to weigh / label your produce (to speed up the checkout process?) The one ā€œpositiveā€ to this was there was a large section of bags of apples all listed as 0.78 / lb, but when scanning I found a number of bags with apples that were not part of the sale (which cost about 3x as much per pound). So, incorrectly marked or incorrectly placed, and either way more of a waste of my time. But at least I saved money by not buying the wrongly priced / placed items.

Weighing / labeling the produce I did buy was tedious and ended up being useless. None of the labels were actually scannable so I had to look up each item anyway.

But my main issue was being forced to scan and check out my own items when leaving. It’s not my responsibility to scan items; there should be at least one register open with a cashier. As it is I was the only person checking out during that time, and there was one employee watching me while I did the job of an employee. It’s quite odd if you think about it. Had I realized this upon entering, I’d have left without buying anything. And the next time I go in after a long day, if there are no cashiers I’ll leave without buying anything.

If not for these issues I’d have rated the store 5 stars. Something’s got to give. Stop forcing customers to do the job of employees unless you start giving discounts when we’re made to do the job of...
