Incredible that there is a world-class Cross Country course at Parkside University. Gets a fair amount of use but they keep it maintained well. Can get dicey pretty quickly in spots when it gets wet, but that's part of the fun!

Nationally recognized cross country course that is also an excellent xc ski area. Trail grooming to start in the near future; a snow machine was recently funded by donations. Donations are still being accepted. Check at Parkside Community Nordic Skiers on FB for...

I have a brilliant idea, drive your heavy park vehicles on the soft ground of the cross country trails, and have tire imprints on the ground. Then people going on the trails can screw up their ankles by stepping into the depressions...
