Love this conveniently located farmers market across from VB Gen Hospital. Quick stop, accepts cards and cash. Had great fresh plants (herbs, flowers, baskets, etc) and local produce and ready to eat local products in fridge case (pimento cheese, soups, sweets to take home to eat. Also a cute area to buy misc decor. Also sell "uglies" veg and fruit at a discount. Seafood on coolers is really good. Bought big North Carolina shrimp to cook at home delicious. Not a place to eat, but a market to buy and take home. Seasonal availability of everything so you know what you're getting is fresh. Some cut flowers I think come from field nearby where they're grown. Not the cheapest place for anything, but quality is very good, staff friendly and helpful, and I like supporting local farmers and businesses. The convenience of the location is huge for me because it's an area that I often drive through anyway so that saves me money now with high gas prices. Cute corner location easy in and out. This place is country, right snack in the middle of town. It's beautiful. It has fresh home grown vegetables. Homemade jams & relishes. Large variety of fruits. Home decor. Home made greeting cards that are adorable and affordable. The prices are right. The atmosphere instantly puts you at ease. It's a pleasant place to be. All of the staff that I encountered were friendly and went out of their way to make me feel welcome. They stopped whatever they were doing to answer my questions, or they asked me how they could assist me. Before I left I met the owners, Bill and Laurie, and I told them how impressed I was. Very cute looked like a one or 2 privately own farmers market..... I guess is what you would call this place. They over a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables that look great. There's a corner of the building that has produce marked at half price due to the deformities of them. They might look ugly but taste just as great as the others. They only thing is the price of some items, not all but some of them seemed to be a bit costly. I purchased 3 peaches today and it was almost 5 dollars. They were very sweet and juicy but kind of...
