Very easy trail. Would not categorize it as a hike. The end of the trail is a loop. Right will take you straight to the lookout and left will take you around along the ridge and eventually to the lookout. I wish we had known this because we went left and when we got to the “top”, I was disappointed because so many trees were blocking the view. But we continued on and eventually came to the lookout. The beginning of the path has about 10 markers spaced out that explain some of the trees and other plants that grow in the area. There are also historical facts down in the parking area that are worth a read.

An overlook just off the side of the road on the top of Warm Springs mountain in Va. Great view of the mountains and distant towns on a clear day. These pics were taken in the afternoon early summer and the humidity is evident. A few parking spots, benches, and maps of what you're looking at. Curvy country road and about 20 minutes from Hot Springs Va. Nice to stretch the legs and get some fresh air.

Loved the hike - good trail and perfect combo of accent grass trail minimal rocks at loop on top, and the lookout up top was a nice bonus. The trail is approx 2.4 miles and is well marked, many plant species are also pointed out with little placards. I'd consider this a hidden gem and perfect if you've been driving long and need a stretch.

Don't get me wrong, after driving thru the twisty mountain roads, on way to WarmSprings, VA, this was a GRAND spot to stop and gaze over the nearby mountain ranges or park your car and go hiking in the trails in back of this overlook and even walk higher up the trails to peak.. there's no restrooms or portapotties.. you gutta walk about 200 yards uphill into the woods .. if you get my meaning.. you can spend a good few hours here if you wanted to hike, or perhaps an hour for a quik picnic, gazing over the mountain Vista.. overall it IS worth stopping at if UR into nature, picnicking, hiking or overlooks.. Great place to walk your pooch.. on leash in the area, once you get into the trails it depends on your dog & their recall .. Great place to picnic and overlook on a nice day, esp...
