It's bridge, y'all. It's arches up and over pretty high, but certainly not as high as many. I've always known it as the Tappahannock Bridge. It spans over the Rappohannock River, connecting the small town of Tappohannock to the even smaller town of Warsaw.
Way back in the day, when we were invincible and clueless, aka, high schoolers, I had friends who seized that dubious double dog dare ya and went plunging into the river below. At night. All survived, but I would never recommend such folly.
I know people who have bridge phobias. In my unprofessional opinion, I would rate this drive over as a level 4 on the anxiety scale (based on 1-10). Maybe a 5.8 if you are riding a motorcycle. * . If you are crossing over from the Tappahannock side, look to the tips of the barren trees on the right as you reach the end. You might catch sight of a Red Tail or an Eagle!
