Great spot to launch kayaks. The road in was a quick trip from the State Park and easily accessible with a 2WD vehicle. You could see the arrow markers for the Old Folks padding trail from the shore. There was floating vegetation but not enough to slow down your paddling. The only downside is the paddling trails accessible from this site have so much more boat traffic than those at the Wildlife Management Area launch site.

Beautiful location way off the beaten path. My family & I were having a great time until more people showed up & overran where we were trying to fish. Great view and very quiet & peaceful (for most of the visit).

It was a nice stop. Not a whole lot going on here. Where is a gazebo, and a boat ramp with dock. Fishing is ok. Swimming is highly restricted and advised against. But it was a nice rest area.
