I had been calling locations on this lake all morning and after dealing with seemingly impatient people every time so it was a pleasure to get in contact with Gene here. He took about an hour out of his day to assist a stranger who wasn't even going to be reserving their house. If this is the kindness they show to someone just looking for information to accommodate us then I can only imagine how sublime this location must be in every facet. This is our third time staying at The Camp and we love it. The location is perfect. It’s very quiet with no vehicle traffic and for boating it’s an excellent spot. You can sit on the dock and fish or watch the boats go by or you are within kayaking distance of government ditch and several other trails. The kitchen has everything you need to cook full meals. Arrived at Caddo on a cloudy/rainy day. Just after we arrived the drizzle because a torrent of rain that lasted for hours. The setting is remote and beautiful (even in the rain). We were snug and dry under our house on stilts which supplied all the amenities for our family cookout. Thank you for a lovely property to enjoy our family cookout.
