Sunny’s Supermarket — Local services in Voluntown

This morning I made a purchase for $12 and some change. I paid with a 20 and three 1s because I wanted a $10 bill back. You cashier only handed me back a few coins. I noticed and told her there was a mistake and I paid with $23 I should have a $10 bill back as well. She insisted I gave her a $10 bill and not a 20 (impossible because I only walked in with 6 $1 bills, I took $20 out of your atm). I wasn’t upset by the fact a mistake was made I'm a retail manager these things happen. I’m upset by her attitude. She should have counted the drawer which is standard procedure in most situations like this, I even asked her to do such. I would have waited for a manager to be called, a camera watched or a drawer counted. Instead she argued it, she was very rude. She opened the drawer and practically threw the $10 at me. Don’t act like I’m stealing MY MONEY YOU TOOK in the first place. I will never go back here I was actually going to get gas as well but I took my business down the street. It may have not been a lot but I work too hard for my money to have it taken from me. It’s just a reminder to pay attention, count your change, and check...

It's pretty good. Bad is the fact you can't have cold cuts cut to order. Been told they aren't allowed to use the slicer, but, I've seen them use it. One person said that the butcher comes in the morning to slice meats, he's the only one. That's a lie. One other thing.,never buy any kind of water off the floor. It doesn't taste right. I'VE given a try many times, the taste is not right. Even Poland springs. Don't know about the ones in the cooler, but, the water on the floor is no good. I've been taken a couple of times asking anout the deli meats that are already cut. Is it thin? Is it rare? Have been told yes, but not so. Also, all deli meats are kept in the same cooler, which makes them taste funny. I like this store, but, i don't like being taking moo...

Tried to order a Turkey grinder and felt very rushed to order by the guy making the sandwich who wasn't friendly at all and seemed irritated he had to make the sandwich, I think he was the owner???. He finished the sandwich and then I then asked for a 1/3 lb of sliced American cheese and he said , NO you buy from the case?? All they had were 1 lb packages or larger which is too much for just myself so I just didn't buy one then I asked if he could give me just a half pound of potato salad and again I got the NO! He shouted u buy one pound only!! Well, ok how bout this.... NO, I buy nothing!! First and last visit ever at this dirty deli joint!! Good Ridens mr rude man, guess you don't want me to spend any $$$$...
