I'd love to have shared a photo of my super delectable and delicious double-dip (peach over blackberry) ice cream cone today. However, I was by myself and it was melting too fast. That's my story and I'm sticking to it!😋
It's very obvious their store made ice cream is fresh. The peach bits were truly peachy. The Blackberry was my stunning surprise, it was the most fruity I've ever had!! It was well and truly recognizable as blackberry. Well done!🤗 (The only thing I would change is to have them filter the seeds out.)
I AM including pictures of the wonderful field grown tomatoes. They were meaty and sweet, we sliced a couple and had them as a side with our dinner. I'm sorry Big Box stores, your tomatoes can't hold a candle to these. 😉
I also bought one bottle of Peach Cider and one of Blackberry Cider. Ask me later how they were.
I noticed that they donate a portion of the proceeds from sales of their watermelons toward a Breat Cancer Awareness(?) program. You might want to check this out for more details.
There were fresh peaches by the pound, quart and larger. Fresh ear corn, melons, apple and a variety of salsas and jams were on display as well.
There were plenty of energetic employees to help make your choices, as well as assist you with toting your purchases to your vehicle if you went a bit overboard.
If you're flying down Hwy. 74, headed south from Monroe (toward Lumberton) or north from Laurinburg (toward Charlotte), take your foot off the gas and coast on in for some tasty treats. I know...
Read moreThis was my first time stopping here and I like this place a lot! The staff are SO friggin’ sweet!! There’s a coffee shop type menu as well as ice cream and other sweet stuff at the window, attached to an small open air market area that sells fresh produce and specialty hood like local honey and cheeses, etc. I got a bottle of elderberry syrup, seemed a little bit on the pricey side at almost $20 for a pretty small bottle but it’s worth it to support local businesses and actually it may cost that much anywhere, I wouldn’t even know, lol! The bathrooms were what you’d expect at a roadside stand and I don’t think they are supposed to be anything more. Sure it could be a little but cleaner but again—roadside spot— and it was by no means dirty or what you’d find at most traveling stops. The staff made it worth the trip though, I interacted with three people, the girl at the window was so sweet and adorable and the young lady working the register on the other side was friendly and made me feel at ease and was even very patient when I couldn’t find my card that I’d literally just used. I’ll stop here again, and recommend to...
Read moreThis is always our absolute favorite road trip stop! If we're traveling and we know we're going past this or can make a small detour to stop here we always do ! They have the BEST ice-cream. The blueberry is absolutely the best! The peach is second and today we tried the banana as well and it's great too ! The blue berry has fresh bits of blueberry still the peach and banana the same thing! The fresh fruit and vegetables are definitely worth the stop alone!! They are always in great condition and last SO long ! Their flowers and plants are some of the best plants you can buy. We have a fern plant we bought last year from there that is still in amazing shape and thriving! For a quart of strawberries and 3 kiddie ice-cream was only about $15! They also have 2 restrooms and 2 has a baby changing station which if youre a parent you definitely understand how great that is to have! They also have rocking chairs on both sides as well as tables and fans to sit and enjoy your...
