Not a single employee wore a mask. How coincidental that all of them have medical conditions that prevent them from wearing one. Made me feel unsafe.
The concession stand was not a good experience. The guy at the counter looked annoyed and swore when we started telling him our order. Very unclassy. We asked for a soft pretzel and a funnel cake (which are items listed on the menu), and he acted like that was extremely difficult to make. I almost didn't get one of my items. I'm hoping that they were just understaffed that night and that this wasn't their normal customer service. Food was devoid of any flavor. I don't expect gourmet, but something a little better than this.
Bathrooms were actually decent, but the paper towel machine didn't work. The movie quality was okay as well. We were pretty irritated that they turned on the bright stadium lights five minutes before the second movie ended. That certainly woke us up.
I hope they can improve from our experience because there aren't many drive ins left and I would hate to see...
Read moreFun travel back in time kind of experience with modern movies. Pack as many people in your vehicle as you can for the same vehicle rate. Pay a small fee and bring your own food, or use the concession building to buy food. There is a small "old school" playground where kids can play while they wait for the movie to begin. You can open the back of your hatch to sit in your car or bring lawn chairs and sit outside or sit in your vehicle.
I recommend arriving early to look for a good viewing location and to find a good working speaker to listen to the movie. The movie also uses a radio frequency for the sound. I recommend bringing a portable radio so you don't have to run your car or drain the battery because the speakers are old and many are very quiet or do not work / missing.
Many people leave between movie showings because the movies run so late in the summer, so it's completely okay to pack up early and...
Read moreI used to love taking my kids to the drive in but never again. We showed up and since we brought outside food, I said yes when asked if we had any. (My kids were with me and of course I'm not going to lie in front of my kids when I'm trying to teach them honesty is important). The girl LAUGHED, said "at least you're honest," then went on to say she didn't care when people lied, most people just lied and didn't pay the fee and she was fine with it --- but I got charged that $10 outside food fee. Way to make me feel like an idiot by first laughing, and charging me 10 bucks for being honest!!!! Then the sound quality was so bad that we couldn't even hear anything and we ended up leaving after 10 minutes because it wasn't even enjoyable. What was intended to be a nice evening with my kids was just me paying good money to get mocked for telling the truth, and leave a few minutes later....
