Our company reached a big anniversary and the owners wanted to host a great event to show their appreciation for our employees, a day to enjoy and win tickets for some great prize giveaways.
We strongly considered on a casino day from the start. Ten years ago we had hosted one, also conducted by Alpine Amusement, and it was popular. Or so we heard. Through turnover and retirements, most of the managers (including me) were not present then but had seen the pictures and heard the stories.
I contacted Alpine and Ron got back to me right away. He penciled us in and gave me the basics, although I was upfront in letting him know we had not settled on a course of action. Our company plans things several months out and Ron stayed with us the whole time, checking in every once in a while, from our eventual confirmation to going over the details of our party and his requirements to even stopping by a week before our big day to make sure his equipment could be transported efficiently into our building.
Ron and his folks are pros. They unloaded and set up their equipment in no time (the caterer was early!) and gave our dealers (i.e. our managers) a quick tutorial that anyone with a basic knowledge of card games could grasp and retain. Our folks ran the blackjack tables and they handled roulette, craps, as well as Texas hold ‘em.
I gathered that most of our employees had not been to a real casino or even a casino night fundraiser. Unsurprisingly, some were a little tentative when the festivities kicked off, grabbing something to eat first or hanging back playing bingo.
But within 20 minutes, people gravitated toward the gaming tables and were having fun in no time. I attribute this largely to Ron and his staff. They were professional, friendly, and patient. It didn’t matter if you were an experienced gambler or had never picked up a pair of dice in your life. They made everyone feel at-ease and comfortable and the environment was welcoming to newbies.
I played a few games but as the organizer, I kept tabs on things to make sure they were going smoothly. Soon the volume of the room was up and saw nearly everyone was involved and having fun. At one point a commotion caught my attention. It was the craps table, a game I’ve never played and barely understood, mostly due to Hollywood. It was a scene right out of a movie. One of our owners was shooting dice, a large crowd had congregated around the table, and they erupted in reaction whenever she rolled the dice. It would be quiet for minute while bets were made and winnings were paid and then I’d hear the buildup and the roar of the crowd. It put a smile on my face to see so many of our employees having such a great time.
The event was a huge success, a great way to celebrate our company’s twenty years and the employees who made it so. I received a lot of compliments from employees in the following days, which I obviously passed onto the party staff. In a subsequent human resources survey we conducted, this event was ranked #1 in Top Company Memories. The food and prizes were great, but it was the fun had at the gambling tables that made the day and was the thing people will remember for years to come.
I cannot recommend Ron and his crew at Alpine Amusement enough. Ron communicates with you, works with you, and tailors your event to whatever group size and needs are. Whether you’re hosting a private party, a fundraiser, or a company party, Alpine Amusement will set up an enjoyable and very unique day or evening that virtually anyone can enjoy and won’t be forgotten.    Read moreRon, his team, and his tables are top notch! We asked them to be a part of our upstate NY wedding recently, and they were an absolute hit - I am so glad we found them! We had a Roulette Table, Craps Table, and Black Jack table. Craps is always a fan favorite, I couldn't even get a seat at Black Jack, and the Roulette wheel was a blast! Throughout the process, Ron's communication was impeccable, respectful, and so friendly. On the big day, I truly felt at ease and didn't have to worry about a thing; Ron and his team handled set up and break down seamlessly. The folks of Alpine Amusement Entertainment are thorough, kind, and tons of fun. I would recommend them to anyone! Hopefully I can use them again sometime, but I'm grateful for the lifelong memories and connections I've already made! Thank you so...
Read moreRon and his group were great! We used them for a company holiday party in Manchester, NH. In the months before the event, Ron was very available to answer any questions we had and provide suggestions on how to run the night. The night of the event, his guys got there early and set everything up in very short time. Their game tables were looked like the real thing so it really felt like we were in a casino. They were dressed professionally, were able to offer help and guidance on how to play the games, and focused on helping make the night fun for those playing. The night went so smoothly and everyone had a blast. Most employees say it was one of the best holiday...
