Wakefield Neighborhood Association — Local services in Waldorf

Everyone else seems to be having a better experience than I am with this organization. I live in the Wakefield Circle/ Adams Landing community and things could not be worse. Upon moving in to the town home I was told that they would be responsible for fixing the light. Three years later, still not fix. I've complained and requested them to touch up and fix the parking space because people claim they don't see the number and continue to park in my assigned space. I shouldn't have to be looking for a space at my house that I'm paying for if I have an assigned parking space that I'm paying for. Still nothing. Worst yet, the two company that they use never answer the phone and voice mailbox is always full. They're useless. When we had the snow storm, it took them days to clear our path so that we can commute out of the area, but the community center was perfectly plowed. You can't call them because no one answers the phone, and the voice mailbox is always full. I shouldn't have to resort to social media to get in contact with a person. I refuse to continue to pay this organization the HOA fee until major changes are made. I'd advise anyone considering moving into a wakefield community area to do your due diligence before moving into any of their communities. Especially true if they have sub communities in the area or you'll be paying two HOA fees to an organization that has...

Generally a good place to swim. Interaction is a hit or miss with the staff.

One day the girls left vomit in the pool for over an hour because they wanted to ‘pretend’ it just happened so they could close early..it was pretty gross they went to such extremes to get off work early. I was told one set of rules when I booked a pool party then different rules when I delt with a different staff member at the event. Literally admitted she told me miss information, no apology and no accommodations for the price change, just pay up! In cash! I've been around this area for a long time. I used the pool, I've been to events, and I played tennis and basketball (which is now roller hockey). The facilities are in much better shape than they used to be and the landscaping looks better than it ever did. I miss the baseball fields and the larger soccer fields. They've been replaced by houses. The pool is still in great shape though. All in all, it's a good facility. I just wish it was treated better by...
