The small-town Oktoberfest was a big disappointment. After paying $30 per person, parents weren’t allowed to ride most of the rides with their young children, which was the whole reason we bought the tickets. I was even asked to get off the roller coaster after being seated, which was frustrating. My granddaughter couldn’t ride many of the attractions because she wasn’t tall enough, even though she’d been on similar rides at Santa’s Land in Cherokee. When I asked the ticket booth about the armbands for adults, I was told it was our responsibility to know which rides we could go on with our kids there were no refunds. I’m sorry, but how are people supposed to walk around an amusement park to figure that out beforehand? To top it off, I had to take my granddaughter off the Ferris wheel because she was terrified. When I asked the operator to stop, he smelled like weed and struggled to remove the safety bar. The vendors weren’t what they used to be either. My granddaughter enjoyed a turkey leg, but it cost $20! I grew up going to this Oktoberfest, and it felt more like price-gouging than a fun, family event. They didn’t even play the chicken dance the entire time we were there. It’s sad to say, but I won’t be taking my granddaughter back it was a waste of money, and we didn’t leave with any good memories but a quick picture on the swing for the memory of the day with her.

This was our first time going to the Oktoberfest in Walhalla. It was really a good time!! They had rides, live music, craft, good food, and awesome fireworks. This is a huge event for this small town. The only thing they were lacking was parking availability. But other than that me and my Husband had a great time.

A fun event to go to with your family or to just have a date night. With rides, dancing, live music, so many varieties of food including authentic German food, beer on tap, and so many little shopping tents and prize booths

Octoberfest in Walhalla SC is great! Great German food, and many activities related to German culture. Many gravitate to the "beer" tent to enjoy one of many craft and original German beers. One thing to be careful of is the swinging as well as the stationary bridges required to enter the Octoberfest festivities area. The cabling on the swinging bridge has little to no overhead support. The stationary bridge under supports are rotten. Seems unsafe to me. Maybe it'll be fixed before this years celebration. If the bridges were more secure, I'd easily reward with five stars. The Sertoma Field...

Was not open yet. Just checking out what was there. Hope it doesn't rain because of the way they have some of 6 the rides set up on the dirt on the infield. If it does rain it will become the Mudfest not the Octoberfest..Also doesn't look like as many rides as they had in town last month. They charge you 5.dollars plus what ever the rides cost .I don't think it's worth the money to go...
