Blue Mountain Lavender Farm is a charming, quaint destination that offers a peaceful atmosphere for visitors looking to relax and pick lavender. The property has a lovely setting that would make a beautiful venue for intimate events or weddings. The on-site boutique, while small, offers an interesting selection of items. The staff member we encountered was friendly and helpful. Their inventory includes both handmade products and carefully curated items that align with their lavender theme, featuring aromatherapy, skincare, and culinary products. Unfortunately, our visit was marred by an incident involving my husband’s service dog. A staff member approached us and stated that the service dog could not be around the lavender area. When my husband explained that this was a certified service dog assisting with his disability-related stability needs, the employee responded with “I would still rather that he doesn’t.” This interaction was disappointing and concerning. My husband’s service dog is professionally trained and poses no threat to the lavender or property. In fact, the dog helps prevent potential safety hazards and liability issues by providing essential stability support. I would encourage the owners and staff to familiarize themselves with ADA laws and regulations regarding service animals. Service dogs have legal access rights to accompany their handlers in public spaces, and proper education on these laws would benefit both the business and disabled customers. Despite the beautiful setting and quality products, this experience significantly impacted our visit. I hope the farm will take steps to ensure all guests, including those with disabilities, feel welcomed and...
Read moreI enjoyed my time here. It was a little later in the season and I didn't know that, so it was no rolling fields of lavender like I thought but it was perfectly fine. The bundles are $12.95 each, I thought I saw online it was free and that they make their money from the gift shop, so that was a surprise but a mistake on my part. You can enter for free if you want but that's just to visit. If you are afraid of bees do not come here because there were so many! They didn't bother you if you do not bother them but they were just doing their bee job in masses so it might be a bit overwhelming if you have a phobia. The gift shop had a variety of items in various price ranges and the directions for drying the lavender are easy to follow. Another thing I wish I knew was not not wear white sneakers. Maybe I am the only one to not know being from the city but ny white shoes were brown within the hour. Worth the drive and the experience, I recommend...
Read moreIt is very quaint and cute. The small boutique had all kinds of lavender items from teas to oils and scented heating pads. There were many shaded places to sit and relax and enjoy the views. It would be a great place for a picnic. The lavender farm itself was much smaller than I expected but they had several varieties however only 4-5 rows that you could actually pick from.
Note- dogs are not allowed beyond the parking lot even though there are lots of grassy or gravel areas. I understand them not being allowed in the lavender rows and leashes required but in WA.people regularly travel...
