HOP Shops — Local services in Walton

Heard of the Disco bathrooms at some of the Hop Shops and found two on my route. This being the second. Had to stop at both to see if they were the same. There's a warning about flashing lights. So if you're sensitive don't hit the button. But if not, even though there's a sign that reads "Do Not Push this Button" push it cause what happens next is so fun. The lights go out, music starts playing Stayin' Alive (which is different from the one in Florence which was Shine Bright Like a Diamond), and colorful lights swirl about dancing off the disco ball. It goes off for about a minute. Then the music stops and lights come back on. It really is something to see. If one of these gas stations are on your route you should check it out. It's at the Marathon gas station. So if you think you're in the wrong place you're not....

Whoever was work on 11/23/24 at 4:49pm the male and female clerks were very friendly and knowledgeable about the vapes and when I asked to about the do not push button in the bathroom she told me to go push and and I had a mini dance party in the bathroom and that made my day even though I lost on my lottery ticket my experience was so good I felt like I won. A traveling alabamian who stopped at 4 gas stations this by far is the best one I'll be sure to stop by again on the way...

We stopped at the HOP Shops in Verona during our road trip just to use the restroom—and it turned out to be one of the most unexpectedly fun moments of the trip. 😂

The bathroom had a disco ball and music, turning a basic pit stop into a full-on mini dance party. It was clean, well-lit, and honestly put us in a great mood to keep driving. Love seeing places go the extra mile to make things fun for travelers.
