I'm sure I could have given a 5* review if I ever made it there. I called 3 weeks ago to inquire about a hay ride tour and was told they will have two tours, on 09/03 and 09/04 and will post the link for purchasing tickets soon. I then booked a hotel in the area for our extended weekend in NJ and asked again about when the tickets would be for sale. To my written inquiries I never got any reply at all. I called 4 times over the course of 2 weeks and actually reached the owner. He said there's now no tour on the third, but on the fourth and he might post the link for tickets the next day. He never did. The hotel was booked. I called a few more times to ask if the tour on 09/04 was happening or not. I didn't want to drive there for nothing. Went to an alpaca farm instead which was an amazing experience. But what I really wanted to do is this tour and support an animal sanctuary. I understand if he can't be on top of the media part of his farm. But don't tell me there's two tours, then that there's only one tour, then never post any info or link for purchasing tickets and then not even answer the phone anymore at all. Either get a person in charge of media or just don't promise tours in the...

This is a place for animal lovers, you can come and visit or you can come and volunteer. Our family has been able to do both and we enjoyed every visit. This was my first time visiting the sanctuary. I had signed up to volunteer and was really excited about meeting the animals, especially the famous ones like Freddy. He escaped a slaughterhouse in Queens, NY, my old neighborhood and made the news that day. Thank God for Mike who rescued him and has been rescuing animals for years. He sure is heaven sent and has been doing an amazing job caring for these animals who deserve to live out the rest of their days treated with love and kindness the way all animals...

it says on their website open Sat and sun 11 to 1 and 2 to 4 for visits. my friend and I messaged and called Mike 3x and no return call. we drove 2 hours yesterday to visit the animals and ask about volunteering. we arrive can't find anyone gates are locked yet store is open. go figure. we finally saw a woman and she was completely clueless. Told us they are no longer open to the public. Very angry about this. Change your website and social media and don't make followers drive 2 hours for nothing but to see the hens and roosters. Better management is needed. So...

We had a fantastic time volunteering at the sanctuary and meeting the precious animals who were rescued or escaped from slaughterhouses. The founder Mike Stura is a hero. Mary his lead for operations and volunteers was terrific. Both were warm and compassionate. We stayed at the Minerals resort hotel, which was only 10 minutes away and was convenient. We can not wait to go back.
