Greenwood School District 51 — Local services in Ware Shoals

High school is amazing and has a wonderful staff and especially principal not fond of band director who asked if my son would grow out of his disability. Middle school lost two of its best teachers and the principal needs more training and experience. Allowed a teacher to call a student fat and still teaches. The loss of Ms Abney and future mayor Brian Ross is a huge loss to school. The loss of Ms Brown with a poor replacement makes school not student friendly. The school board has maybe one good member and will not let parents voice opinion if it's not theirs. I hope most are replaced soon especially chairman. I love this district so much. People may think that I am absolutely insane, but it is true. In Ware Shoals School District 51, you matter and are deeply cared for. I have been in all 3 schools and this upcoming school year, I will be a sophomore here at the high school. As a student, I am involved in a lot of things around campus. I am a Ware Shoals High School Varsity Cheerleader and a Junior Firefighter at a local fire department here in our community. The teachers, staff, and faculty in our district are great. I absolutely love this school district. They staff is the friendliest I have ever met, they have a care for their student body beyond any I have seen before. The students themselves have a care for each other beyond their years. I have not been a part of this district for very long but I have quickly come to realize this place is more than a mere school district this truly is a family.
