This place is amazing! I just started in January and it already feels like home. From the extremely friendly face at the front (Jara) to all of the coaches, this place is phenomenal. Jesse was the coach to sign me up, and one of the reasons I love it here. He has given me lots of good laughs, and has made me feel so at-home and I've enjoyed every second of my time here. All of the coaches are great and very helpful, no matter your skill level.
Trust me.....I get it, you're scared to get started. Or maybe you're already experienced and you want to find the right gym. Either way, Miller is the spot for you. Jujutsu and Martial arts can be intimidating and quite honestly, it can be scary to get started, but Miller Martial arts has made the introduction so warm and inviting. I encourage you, try it out!
Side note, BJJ has always been something I've said I wanted to do, but time is the biggest thief, am I right? Nearing my 30s and in a new town, I was like what better time than the present...so here I am, 4 weeks in,...
Read moreAbout 1.5 years ago I started training here in Muay Thai as a 38 year old single mom. I had never done anything like this before. Some of my training partners are training for upcoming fights or competitions, but I have other goals. Rebuilding from past abusive relationships, it has been so healing to do this body work which touches emotional and psychological healing as well. My confidence has grown immensely and I am becoming strong in new ways.
Coach Amun and Coach Cole bring their passion to create a comprehensive training environment where I have to bring my discipline, but they pave a way for any skill level to build and improve. I feel supported and empowered here.
When my kids have to tag along, they get to watch me face my fears and learn how to feel safe in my body again. I am so thankful for Miller Martial Arts and the very skilled staff who set the tone for this place that has been so important...
Read moreTwo weeks after sending my request for a free trial class, they finally reached out to me to tell me a little info about their kids’ class and schedule a FREE trial class. I was told beforehand that there’s a waiting list and I said that’s fine. We got there for my son’s FREE trial class and was told that he’s only going to be watching and not actually participating in the class. My son was so disappointed as he was looking forward to doing karate. To be fair when I looked back on their messages, they did say that we’re only going to be watching/observing. I must’ve missed that part because to me, a FREE trial includes physical participation. If I had known that their FREE trial entailed only observing a class, I would’ve just made my son watch martial arts videos on youtube and didn’t waste...
