Youthology Medspa — Local services in Warren

The staff at Youthology Medspa are friendly and welcoming, but they don’t seem to do any follow-up unless you reach out first. Dr. Rupeka was easy to talk to initially, but unfortunately, he has not followed up with my inquiries regarding a solution for the issues I experienced after treatment.

While I did notice some improvement in tightening the neck area, my initial results were uneven — the neck looked lopsided with a noticeable hollow spot in the center. Dr. Rupeka recommended Bellafill to correct the hollow area, and I returned for that procedure. We didn’t discuss exact placement in person, as he appeared confident and seemed to understand what needed to be done — that was my mistake. Bellafill is a more permanent filler, and now, three years later, the treated area is still hard and hasn’t softened or shrunk as he said it would.

During the procedure, I remember feeling that the product was being placed incorrectly, but I couldn’t see what was happening. I was right — the filler was injected into areas that didn’t need it, leaving my neck with visible lumps and an even deeper indent. I returned two more times, and he tried using a steroid to soften the product, but the issue remains. I now live with daily discomfort and self-consciousness — turning or lifting my neck causes wrinkles and makes the nodules more visible.

I reached out again this year with photos via Instagram and email, but have yet to receive any response. At this point, I may need to consider surgery to remove and correct the damage.

Went in for Eye rejuvenation/tear trough filler. I’ve had it done in the past by a plastic surgeon in Pgh and loved it, however, couldn’t justify the price. Found Dr Rupeka, great price and reviews, so I booked. The office and staff were incredibly nice. I was aware of his microcannula technique, which is why I booked with him, again however, he barely communicated with me how he does things himself, such as not using any type of numbing. He laid me back, which I was taught you shouldn’t do when doing under eye because you want the face to lay how gravity takes effect. Essentially you want the results to look good standing up not laying down. He proceeded to go straight into treatment following photos. There was no walking through his “procedures”. As I thought he was injecting numbing, he went straight into doing the injections. I made the comment about numbing and he pretty much told me he felt it was the least painful injection he offered....as a microcannula was being pushed and pulled under the delicate under eye area skin. He did less area than my previous experience and questioned him and he said I could come for touch ups and of course pay more. Healed great. No bruising. But. The area done is essentially somewhat overdone while there are multiple areas where filler could have been used. Also a nice bluish tint I didn’t get before, occurred. Thought about having it dissolved but I said screw it, it’s not great but it’s not horrible, I’ll live with it until it dissolves on its own. He’s a master at lips but personally because of my tear trough experience, next time, I’m heading...

Haven’t been to him for almost 2 years now, but all I hear are horror stories. I used to love going there to get my lips filled, but obviously choose to drive much farther for a new doctor for a reason. While the doctor used to care about what I wanted, that’s no longer the case. When I walked in a couple years ago he started injecting me without even asking what I wanted. I walked out with my top lip much larger than my bottom lip and that’s how it healed which was horrifying for me. He kept taking breaks to text on his laptop and didn’t even bother to make small talk during the appointment. I swell quickly so the breaks resulted in my lips being uneven AND one side was blown out creating a puff in the bottom of my top lip making my smile look awful. THIS IS NOT A RESULT THAT IS NORMAL. I have been going to another doctor that not only is half the price, but my lip injections LAST LONGER, and I DO NOT SWELL AT ALL NOR HAVE BRUISING after my appointments.
