After deciding to add a three-car garage to our property in Warrenton, I stopped by This nā That to see what they had to offer. I had heard really good things about Amish built structures and was intrigued by appearance of the two-car model on their lot. Matt showed me the build options, the construction methods, and explained the process. I was impressed with Mattās construction knowledge and his ability to answer every question that I threw at him. I was also impressed with the build quality of the model. In my opinion it reflected the craftsmanship that Amish builders are known for. Aside from cost, my biggest question was ā..if they built a garage on my property, would it be of the same quality as the ādemoā on their lot?ā I returned with my wife, since the commitment to have This nā That build a garage on our property was a big one. She liked what she saw (as well as the beautiful furniture in their showroom). Like other folks have said, thereās a strong relationship between This nā That and the Amish folks who hand build their indoor and outdoor furniture, sheds, coops, and garages. It became evident as we toured their shop and checked out their brochures. We sat down with Matt to handpick our many, many options ā from siding type, ceiling height, to garage door style of our custom-built garage⦠..and we pulled the trigger. All initial aspects of the project (permit application, foundation, etc) went smoothly. As the final build date approached, I went over a few details with the project manager in PA and he confirmed when his crew would be showing up at my house. Exciting stuff! When the Amish builders showed up, they immediately staged the site and got to work like a well-oiled machine. I watched as they worked non-stop and only took a short break for lunch. They were all about as friendly and respectful as a person could be. Everyone had a task and nobody was ever sitting around. The work ethic and inherited skill that these young men possess is truly impressive. American craftsmanship like this seems to be harder and harder to find these days. They had my garage built and the site cleaned up in just two days! Truly amazing. Everything was spot-on and built to our specifications. Not a single boo-boo. Their attention to detail and pride in workmanship is second to none. IMPORTANT: There were no extra or unforeseen costs tacked on at the end of the project (a first for me). We now have a beautiful, quality garage that has increased our property value substantially; and the finished product is way beyond our expectations. And my big question was answered. Our garage was built at the same level of quality as the model on This...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis place convinced my wife that they could build a chicken coop that met her needs. In the design phase they told her how everything should be built and how they dealt in quality. We were to learn over 2 months that not only would they not deliver quality but they would not deliver a product.
7/9/2013 - Design and deposit was placed and we were told to expect the coop in two weeks.
7/23/2013 - Called for status no information

7/26/2013 - Called for status and they informed us it is expected to arrive next week.
7/30/2013 - Delivered a chicken coop that was not the correct design and configuration as listed on the design. This was refused and we were told they would need to order another one which would take two weeks.
8/13/2013 - Another chicken coop was at the store and after my wife saw it the coop was still not to the agreed upon design and there was nails sticking into the chicken living space that missed the support beams so could hurt the chickens. The manager stated he would try to fix it but also belittled my wife and stated "this is made out of materials such as plywood for chickens you can't expect high quality". My wife still wanted to work with them but was concerned she would not get what she ordered.
8/17/2013 - My wife called to ask for status and they had none so request our deposit back but the manager was not in to discuss.
8/19/2013 - Called to request deposit back but the manager was busy.
8/21/2013 - Called to request deposit back but the manager was busy and would get back to us.
8/22/2013 - Called to request deposit be refunded and were told we would receive a call back but didn't the whole day.
8/23/2013 - Called to request our deposit be refunded and were told they would not refund our money. Called our credit card company to contest the charge since we do not have a chicken coop and are not expecting a delivery.
Never deal with this company if you have a choice. My family will not make purchases from this...
