I needed ship two guns to a dealer 200 mi. north, they quoted me two hundred and eighty some odd dollars! The dealer in Plymouth quoted $125. Two Bare charges $45. Transfer fee per Firearm, Plymouth is $25 per Transaction. All this amounts to is picking up a pen and filling out 1 line of information in the FFL book, no expense, no risk. $25. Is a scam but 45 is straight up robbery. I've heard of fees like that in CA where there is extra paperwork but not here. They were very nice about it though. If you want a new gun and have lots of money they are a better than average jip joint.
In response: I swear he mentioned $45. "Transfer fees" I was civil & as kind as I could be for having just caught someone trying to rob me. There was something wrong with the fedex quote, I would have been glad to help figure it out except the fees were already a no deal. Your prices looked like the high side of average, nothing crazy, I get it. I feel like the "transfer fee" is a monopoly given to FFL holders by the master minds in DC. and you guys are milking it a little too much.
To summarize: Your fees are ridiculous, zero stars. Nice enough place with dogs walking around, one star. Friendly and helpful staff, one star. Total= two stars. All in all a decent shop with one major flaw.
Ahh! You got my name off of the paperwork YOU DIDN'T GIVE BACK and then posted it HERE!
WELCOME TO THE ONE STAR CLUB!
My actions in the store? I have no idea what you are talking about. I didn't say anything rude or make a scene in any way. You gave me a quote & I declined there was no hard feelings. The only reason your dander is up now is because I put your price and your competitor's price on here. Don't get mad, get better. Look, I'm not hard to get along with (I stoutly deny ever being rude.) all you had to do was not be twice the price of your neighbor and you failed. That's really all there was to it. Except then YOU DOXED ME on here, that was really scummy. (seriously that can get you in trouble, don't do that.) But don't worry about me, I'm more than comfortable here on the...
Read moreArrived at the store to shoot pistols at the range as the range fees were waived. An employee behind the counter told us that we just had to purchase their ammo and we could shoot at the range for free. Purchased $50 worth of ammunition. Proceeded to the range to shoot. An employee named Don (assuming the store manager) approached us after 10 minutes of shooting and said that he just got back to the store but his employees told him that we have been told twice (nobody had came out to talk to us until Don did) not to use our own ammo and that we had to use TBA ammo for insurance reasons. Don then proceeded to say that if he had to warn us again that he would have to kick us out.
We responded to Don respectfully by saying we understood but we knew the rule about only using TBA ammo and that’s all we had been shooting. Nobody had been out to tell us anything, let alone that we had to use TBA ammo.
In fact, the only 9mm and 40mm ammo we had with us was the TBA ammo we just purchased that day and additional boxes of TBA ammo we purchased last time we were in the store.
We showed Don the boxes of TBA ammo at our shooting stations, and he responded by saying “I know” and then walked away.
Don was obviously misinformed, but come on. I understand where he’s coming from, but this is not how to treat any customer, needless to say a returning customer. He came across accusatory and arrogant. Didn’t ask us any questions, just assumed and went with what his employees told him.
When I’m in town, I frequently visit TBA, along with my family members. Have purchased a gun and lots of ammo in the past, and I’ve referred several people to this store who have purchased multiple guns and ammo. Will not be returning in the...
Read moreif they had a zero star choice I would select it. what it all comes down to is their pricing. it is so over priced thay it's not funny, I paid over 33.00 for a 50 round box of 9mm shells that would normally sale at Stock and Firld or Dunhams for around 12.00 a box. the fact that a small buisness is price gouging is crazy. times will calm down and guns and ammo will go back to there normal price and I hope people remember how unfairly they were treated and how much they over paid at too bear arms. let's not get started on there reload ammo that the sale you can actually see the projectile in flight to the target. one last thing I dont understand is to use there range you have to buy their overpriced ammo, they claim it's for insurance purpose, but what does it matter if I buy a box of 9mm Winchester from two bear arms or stock and field, if its factory ammo then it's the same and "insurance" would still cover am accident. just another scheme for them to RIP people off..tha is for reading have a good day
I wasn't sure how to respond to your response. But I can tell you I was there the other day with a friend of mine we bought two boxes of 9 millimeter ammo we both bought one target of peace, and the Rings time so feel free to tell me how that total $91 in change. Range time was $20 for the both of us the targets were I think $2 a piece so that's $24. I'd really like to know I wasn't charged around $33 a box if my total...
