Wow! Genevieve and her team catered a high tea for my son's early evening wedding celebration for fifty people and did a superb and beautiful job, exceeding our expectations. And from the initial planning stages through the event itself and afterward, Genevieve’s creative vision, hard work, low-key manner and attention to detail made working with her a pleasure.

The venue was a high-end rooftop patio which Genevieve carefully scoped out in advance, planning the layout and seating, including renting the tables and chairs. She and her team set the tables with lovely unmatched china cups, beautiful flowers, colorful napkins, and attractive menus, and they decorated the cake we ordered with flowers to match. The meal she provides is a High Tea, traditionally served from 5-7pm, which went very well with the venue. We chose in advance from an interesting selection of home-made sandwiches, scones, and sweets, and of teas along with sparkling apple cider (they also served the champagne (cava) that we provided). The food was excellent, and there was plenty of it. We added some Brazilian treats (the bride is from Brazil), which they seamlessly integrated into the meal. There were fun details, like cotton candy that shrank in the cups when the hot tea was poured upon it and sweetened the tea just enough. Our guests loved the meal—several said to me how delicious it was and how much they liked that it was different from the usual reception dinner. The kids that were there clearly enjoyed it, too.

Genevieve and her team were flexible and calm throughout the whole event. In the planning stages, she consulted with us on all the details, guided us in making our decisions and was open to our ideas. At the event, her team was inventive and efficient and able to make do with less than a full kitchen (microwave and small fridge). When the champagne we ordered did not arrive on time, she promptly let me know and calmly sent a member of her team out to a local shop to buy what we needed. Having Genevieve Tea Services cater my birthday celebration last week was the best decision ever! Her and her partner helper made my guests feel welcomed, comfortable and well taken care of.

During the planning process, Genevieve herself answered all of my questions with detail and accommodated to my needs. She was always very prompt to answer my emails and made me feel at ease before the day of the event.

When the day of the event came around, and I met her and her helper in person, they both were super sweet and even helped me arrange some paper items I'd prepared myself for my guests (written letters, name cards & menu cards) along with the beautiful tea sets they had placed. Genevieve Tea Services has an eye for detail and made sure everything looked its best. When my guests arrived, they started by handing out mimosas as my guests proceeded to have a seat. My guests are all hard working women who are always taking care of others and seldom have others take care of them. So, when Genevieve and her helper began bringing out the tiered trays with sandwiches, scones and desserts, began pouring tea & came around often to see if we needed more of anything, my guests felt so relieved to not be lifting a finger themselves .

We couldn't have asked for a better bridal shower tea service! Genevieve Tea Services provided a beautiful AND delicious, really delicious, afternoon tea for my daughter's best friend's shower, from start to finish. The details were all handled perfectly. Communication was superb. Food and service were both excellent. We had an ease throughout the whole day because we were able to let Genevieve and her team do the work, while we had the time to be with our guests.
