Update based on store response The quoted price on the tag was $1499 with an additional Black Friday promotion of $200 off. Regardless of your backroom retail financial tactics, as far as what the customer sees you were offering this at $1299. I asked for a reasonable price that was in the range of the price on the tag and the holiday sale, and was dismissed out-of-hand. The salesman told me that the price after the holiday was returning to $1499, so your other math doesn't add up. I didn't ask for an additional $500 off, I asked for $100 off the price you were already going down to. I find it surprising that a store would try to hash something like this out on a public forum. Your response shows that you would rather doubled-down instead of trying to recoup a potential customer. Original Post Unsatisfactory experience with this store. Found a little 3-piece Lazy Boy gem in the back of the store...sold "as is," so in other words its discontinued (and I couldn't find it on the Lazy Boy website). The salesman refused to negotiate the price down a measly $100....or $33.33 per piece. Instead he stood firm on the price, so I walked. What a shame! You threw away an exceptionally happy customer over $100.00!?! Before deciding to try this store I read the other reviews, and I can see where some other customers had an unreasonable expectations. I fail to see where a small price negotiation is unreasonable. It may be store policy, and if so then fine, but you still lost a sale. Overall, they did have a good selection, but prices weren't that great. The restroom was heinously gross however...it looked like no one had cleaned it in days. The store responded that they were busy due to a holiday, but that is no excuse for a disgusting facility...I was there right after they opened on Saturday after Thanksgiving. Delivery set for following Friday, with love seat coming in 4-6 weeks. Had to pay approx 3/4 of bill on the spot. On Friday got a call about a mistake on the bill before furniture delivered. Had to call back as had to find bill. Called back and was told she was busy and couldn’t come to phone, would give her message. Delivery truck came and my husband said that they forgot to call and let us know as we have a dog we wanted to get out of the way. They said that she was calling us and would let us know they were on the way, but she didn’t. She never called back in morning. Later afternoon my husband called back. She informed us she had made a mistake on the bill and we were going to owe several hundred dollars more on love seat. My husband said we made a deal and paid 3/4 bill and she made the mistake so she should have to leave it as is. She absolutely refused and said we would have to pay more. My husband informed her to cancel loveseat and we were not paying restocking fee. She informed him the love seat had not been ordered yet. Why not??? Was to have been ordered the past Saturday.
