As I’m sure, all too many of you, have experienced a tech issue which is quickly followed by a rapid onset feeling of dread. As the psychological scarring from my previous experiences with tech support, rears it’s ugly head. I quickly click my heels 3 times and wish I was anywhere but here, about to lose what little is left of my sanity.
Before I wait on hold, get bounced between departments, explaining from the beginning 10x to 8 different people, told to reset my device for the 7th time. Then after hours of this you are greeted with the dreaded…… dial tone of death.
Yes, before submitting myself to voluntary torture, I called some friends to complain about it and say my final farewells.
It was the smartest thing I’ve ever done. My now best friend Chris, suggested I give Next Technology a call. As I was mentally preparing myself, naturally I started arguing. After a few mins we came to the topic that, little did I know, would be responsible for an entirely new outlook on life.
I asked why should I pay someone else to help, when it’s already included? He asked me what my time was worth. I immediately started to respond with a less then please tell answer when I froze and realized he was right. So after one last verbal quip for good measure, I called NexTech.
My experience after that was one of awe. The sheer level of expertise, respect and professionalism left me in shock. What happened after me explaining only once as to my current situation almost brought tears to my eyes, he offered to swing by and help me get my internet back up and running.
In less time then I would’ve spent on hold listening to elevator music, my internet was back up and running faster than it ever had. I’ve since had NexTech out on two more occasions. Once to setup a smart lighting system and another to do some electrical work and wire a Dolby Atmos surround sound system.
Not that I will admit to any blame but not once have I experienced any issues with regards to his work. Everything just works like it’s supposed to. I suppose that happens when I’m not pretending to know what I’m doing, when I attempt to setup things up myself.
Do I recommend NexTech? You’re absolutely right I do! But your psychologist might not, when you no longer fall victim to rapid onset feelings of dread.
