The Hair Barn — Local services in Washington

UPDATE I again highly recommend against going here to anyone. After I left my review, several weeks after in fact, the owner and individuals close to her began to attempt to slander my name and accuse me of "trying to ruin her business". My narration of the way the events transpired would hold up based off messages agreeing to a hair style and a price, and cameras at the hair barn. It's very discomforting that I have to hear from family I haven't spoken to in a decade that my name is being dragged through the mud, simply because I left a bad review? The already horrible experience with this business AND the owner some how keeps getting worse.

I went here with my fiancé so she could have Sydney do a specific hair style and the agreed price was to be $45, and this was so we could get engagement photos done. Sydney postponed the appointment knowing she had other appointments, then proceeded to say we were late, then she only touched about a third of her hair and said it would still be $45(even $45 was agreed for the WHOLE hairstyle, not a third), then Sydney proceeded start another appointment while refusing to physically accept payment and instead with her back turned stated "leave it on the counter". Sydney is very unprofessional, if you don't know her, don't go, simple as that. And if you do know her I'd still advise against going. If I could give a -100 star review , I absolutely would.. A couple months ago, I went to Sydney’s salon after reading about good reviews. I got highlights, a hair trim, and eyebrows waxed. I thought my hair look great when I left, however, it started falling out in literal CHUNKS. Even after having a child and the hair loss you get from having a baby wasn’t this bad. My shower would clog every time. After going back to another salon to see what the heck was going on, I was told she completely screwed up on the coloring part, whether it be she left the foils in too long or what ever she did. My hair used to be thick and so pretty, but it’s thinned out so much and I’m sick over it. The hair cut was also very very choppy. The salon I went to fixed it. I thought about calling and complaining, but I’ve heard that doesn’t work with Sydney. She doesn’t care. She got her money and that’s all that matters. And honestly what is she going to do about it, because she will never touch my hair again. Her professionalism was also very bad, the things she’d talk about while I was in the chair made me so uncomfortable. I strongly urge you to STAY AWAY FROM THE HAIR BARN!!
