Out in Washougal’s wild terrain, Where towering pines frame sun and rain, The dirt track winds like serpent’s spine, A rugged path through earth and pine.
Engines roar like thunder’s call, As riders brace to give their all. A cloud of dust, a swirling storm, Where grit and glory both transform.
The morning sun paints golden streaks, On helmets, boots, and mud-caked cheeks. The scent of pine and gasoline, Mix in the air, sharp and keen.
Throttle twists with fiery might, Launching bikes in fearless flight. Wheels spin wild, kicking up clay, Like dragons breathing smoky spray.
Berms rise steep like earthen walls, Where tires grip and rider falls. Whoops roll out like ocean swells, Each jump a dance where courage dwells.
Mud slaps boots and splatters face, Yet smiles shine through every trace. Sweat drips down like summer rain, Mixing with dirt, a warrior’s stain.
The forest hums with buzzing sound, As riders race the hallowed ground. Sunlight flickers through the leaves, Casting shadows that deceive.
Spectators cheer with pounding hearts, Watching art in motion’s parts. The crack of engines, sharp and clear, A soundtrack to the wild frontier.
Each lap a battle, fierce and raw, Where skill meets nature’s rugged law. The track’s a beast both fierce and fair, Demanding focus, grit, and care.
From rookie dreams to pro’s proud flight, Washougal MX ignites the night. It’s not just dirt, or speed, or race- It’s freedom’s wild, untamed embrace.
So here’s to riders, brave and bold, Who chase the rush and never fold. In Washougal’s embrace so grand, They carve their stories in the land.

Read moreBeware, the guys charging at the gate were very untruthful about the fees and causing spectators to pay more than they should.
My wife and I came up on Saturday to watch our grandson race and the fellow at the gate said it was $30 each. A total of $60 in cash just to get in. He said it covered both Saturday and Sunday. When we told him we were there just for Saturday he said there’s nothing he could do, that’s just how it works.
During the races, a couple people told us to keep our wristband and when we leave we give it back and let them know we’re not going coming back on Sunday and we would get $10 of our $30 fee back.
When we went to the booth to leave, the same fellow was there that charged us. When we told him we wanted a prorated part of our fee back as we were not coming back Sunday he seemed puzzled and asked who told us that. We told him a couple people did, and he should have told us that himself.
He still seemed to not want to give us any of our money back and talked to another guy in the booth. I finally handed our wristbands out the car window and demanded our $20 back, which he grudgingly did.
Although we liked the track, it’s pretty sad that the fella at the gate seems to be getting some financial gain by basically being dishonest and having family members paying for two days instead of one. This is supposed to be a fun family experience, not one where we have to worry about greed and dishonesty.
Please pass this review on to anybody going so other spectators and family members are not scammed Into paying for two days when they’re only there...
Read moreThe most rinky-dink operation I have ever seen in my life. Nearly an hour wait in the car to inch up to the so called track. No signs, nobody directing traffic, nothing. Once we finally parked there were no signs directing people to the track. We paid $15 for parking and there was nobody even checking to see if we paid?! What a waste of money and time. Forget about the mass amount of people trying to leave once the race was over...ever worse! I heard of people waiting in line in their car for well over an hour to go just a few miles to try and leave the park.
Do yourself a huge favor...buy some beer, make some nachos, invite some buddies over, and enjoy the racing from home. Do NOT waste your time, money, and patients going to Washougla MX park. I'm fairly sure the owners are named Bubba and Billy-Bob. If you read this Bubba and Billy, you need to do some major improvements to this...
