I lost my husband in a tragic accident in 1 of our septic trucks, I was left with the task of finding and replacing the truck. I started my search, reached out to a few places and ended up talking with Jeff at carco. At 1st he seemed helpful and nice, offering to have other places he deals with near me contact me to tell me their experience with them. I waited for the call but never heard from anyone. Still interested in the Truck he had i tried arranging to go see it, then Jeff asked if I could bring a firetruck he gad purchased up to them, a driver and I agreed and we drove 3 hours to get it. The firetruck had issues and I had to have jeff send someone to puck it up.. it sat in my yard a month and he wasn't in any hurry to get it. Set that issue aside, I had also went ahead and agreed to purchase the septic truck after several back n forth, several videos showing the truck running. My bank wired the money to them. Jeff agreed to put a drop axel on it and even extend the warranty. He said the truck would be ready the 1st week of June. It wasn't, then the next week. Still not ready, 3rd week nothing. He quit responding to my messages and when I did talk yo him he talk fast and I barley got word in and he'd end the convo by just hanging up. He answered the phone usually by telling me to hold on and talking and laughing with others there. He is hands down the most unprofessional person I've ever encountered. It all feels like a scam and he makes a lot of money by lying, taking advantage and ignoring after he gets paid. I finally got my truck after threatening to get a lawyer, the 30 day tag was already expired when I got it. The drop axel ( which he tried to get out of by telling me I didn't need it, I absolutely do need it) it was installed, but the truck won't go faster than 10mph, we had to move it a mile down the road because it was delivered to the wrong address and the transportation company wouldn't take it where we wanted it. We had to limp it down there. My mechanic looks at it and they cut a line to the DEF system when installing the axel. I text Jeff and no response. This company is dirty and I highly recommend others not get involved with them. I will never do business with them again. Btw: the truck i seen online looked much better than the 1 I got, I don't think its even...
Read moreSaturday Jan 2 10:00am I came up from the city's for a early morning meeting. Afterwards I ran to my Bank quik , front dorr was lock and had to use the drive threw. When I started backing up my passenger side wheel broke off. As all can relate coming out of 2020 all I could say is " oh great here we go " . Then a man appears in big truck and takes a look by leaning towards his driver side window and says " ballpoint broke" . I am not a mechanic. Then he says " I got a tow truck and a shop up the way" . All I heard was Ballpoint, then remembered what the last guy charged. He gives me his number and heads out. All the while I'm talking to my wife (lawyers) over future plans . 20 minutes later this massive machine with giant long forks comes my way its him Jeff. He lifts my truck up and carry it down the way to his shop. His crew was ready. They look ,talk to Jeff then Jeff makes a phone call . It seemed like 5 minutes the parts arrived . His guys team up then one stayed Charlie . It was very clear/obvious that Charlie has done this before . With an hour Charlie and Jeff had replaced the axel the Ball joint . I had called around before hand and could not find anything open , especially a auto shop . I stayed in the truck while they finished it up. . Cam time and Jeff talks to me and and hands the bill. THEY ONLY CHARGED ME FOR THE PARTS !!!!! AT COST !!!!!! Im instantly emotional. I will be sending CARCO COLLISION SPECIALIST THANK YOU XARDS FOR LIFE. IVE NEVER HAD SUCH AN AMAZING ACT OF KINDNESS. ESPECIALLY IN THESE TIMES. MY FAITH IS RESTORED IN HUMANITY. AND I CANT WAIT TO PASS ON THE MOST SELFLESS ACT ONE CAN DO. THANK YOU CARCO Thank you Jeff, & Charlie & and the crew. You will forever have my support and business. How can anyone even compare that...
Read moreWe needed a new truck late in 2020, our prior truck would not start when it was cold so that situation drove this entire purchase. They had a 2019 Freightliner 26' box truck listed, we contacted them and were quoted ~$58k. I called back a few days later to complete the deal and they then quoted me $62k and would not honor original quote, claiming some 'update of the title' type excuse. We bought the truck anyways as it was low miles, generally what we needed, and not too far away. After taking delivery, we learned that this truck did not have a block heater. The one and only requirement I asked about when buying (will it start in cold?), they said it would start no problem. The truck does not start when it is below freezing because it originated in Georgia. I was quite displeased with my new $62k paperweight. I called the salesman up, asked how he could recommend this truck, his excuse was that they sell a lot of trucks and how could he keep track of what options are on each truck. I insisted that they make it right, the salesman said 'yup' and hung up on me. I called back to make sure this would happen, that was several weeks ago now and spoiler alert no call back, no solution from them. The world of truck selling must not rely heavily on repeat business..... We found a local shop that will install the block heater for an inexpensive rate, so thankfully it did not end up being a big problem, no thanks to Carco. The level of service this place provides is terrible. If you are buying from them, would recommend doing in person instead of over the phone, and would recommend a working knowledge of commercial trucks, I've only bought a couple of them and feel I was taken advantage of by believing what...
