I have been shopping at Parros Gun Shop for years. Since 2020 things have been outta whack and I haven't been to any shops. So, yesterday I ventured out (wife and I) to his new place that was finished a while back. Its a gorgeous place. The outside is striking and understandably so. Since, you can't put roadside signs up in VT (or near impossible) when you design a new building of any sort you have to have that in mind. Inside is a bit industrial (not in a bad way). There is room for wheel chairs, strollers, or walkers. Why do I mention this... We all get older we all know somebody who always complains about isle width. Henry (owner) has thought of this I am guessing. I'm glad he did or that it organically happened. Either way Thank you Henry Its laid out nicely. You can follow your natural movement around the store. Employees are there offering help various times but not bugging you. They are quick to chat, find information or offer you their expertise/experience. They carry some local goods, Honey, Salsa, VT Maple Syrup and others I may have missed. They have firearms of every price range, new, and used. Ammo supply is good and priced fair. Did I mention they have an indoor shooting range? They do. I didn't try it, that is for another time. They carry Black Rifle Coffee Co. Plus, have a small coffee area for patrons. Henry is still on the floor greeting new and old customers. offers advice and any customer service you may need including cashing you out. While I may have not spent to much money this time, next time could hit the wallet harder. All in all its worth going there, visit the website, or call to see what is going on. Oh, did I mention they rent firearms! They have plenty of room inside for expansion. Full custom shop, suppressor sales, firearm rentals. We had a...
Read moreParro’s Gun Shop in Waterbury is a great place to visit for indoor shooting enthusiasts. The gun displays were clear and well-organized, making it easy to identify different categories. The staff was highly professional and made safety their top priority, which was very reassuring. Additionally, there’s plenty of parking space available, which is convenient.
I gave them 4 stars mainly because the shooting range had a limited selection of guns. While they had plenty of guns for sale, the options for shooting were more restricted. Also, the company’s system froze for about an hour, which delayed us. To make matters worse, they initially didn’t have the guns we wanted to shoot. Fortunately, someone quickly arrived with the specific guns we requested, so we still got the chance to use them. Otherwise, we would have ended up using what was available, which wasn’t our first choice.
If you’re a beginner, you’ll need to take a quick video class and answer safety-related questions. The staff reviews your answers, corrects any mistakes, and explains the most important safety guidelines before letting you enter the indoor range or handle firearms. This process takes about 20-30 minutes if you’re alone or with one other person.
For the experience, be prepared to spend at least $100 if you plan to shoot for 30 minutes to an hour. You can bring your own eye and ear protection (like glasses and earbuds or earmuffs), but if you don’t, you’ll need to rent them, which adds to the cost.
Overall, Parro’s is just 25 minutes away from Burlington, and it’s worth visiting with friends for a fun indoor adventure. It’s exciting, but also requires serious attention to safety. If you’re up for it, this is definitely a place...

Huge, open, clean and brightly lit. An amazing and impressive selection of firearms, with many of them in the open for you to try out and handle.
They have one of the biggest selections of ammunition I've ever seen. With some really hard to find cartridges as well, and the prices were very reasonable.
The employees all greeted me as I walked around, but they weren't pushy or bothered by questions or requests to open a case.
The indoor range was incredibly impressive, I did not use it this time around, but the setup alone was awesome. I loved the giant panes of ballistic glass, so people could watch the shooters in their lanes. And while I was there, 4 guys were on the range and you could barely hear them putting rounds down range.
They also offer a bunch of different firearms to rent and shoot with at the range. Which is always one of my favorite aspects of ranges - so you can really try out some firearms before you purchase it, or get your hands on a Honey Badger because you know you'll never be able to afford one!
I did not use the bathrooms, but the entire facility was very handicap accessible, with parking and wheelchair access all over the store. I am not entirely sure if you could get a chair in through the ballistic doors to the range, but you could probably make it work.
Lastly, this is a very politically agnostic shop, which makes it even more pleasing to shop at.
The 2 hour drive was 100% worth it, and I highly recommend this place for first time shooters and combat vets like myself - There's a little something...
