Charlie's Barber Shop — Local services in Waterford Township

Terrible beard experience. Requested beard length (~2" at Chin) to be cut in half. The barber took it upon his own opinion to remove all but a 1/4". My beard was essentially, removed. The excuse provided was "you had a soft spot on your cheek, I thought this would look better". I embrace that accidents happen, but the barber made this decision on his own without consulting me. The excuse made my experience worse. What a terrible feeling for your barber to finally turn the chair and show your new cut only to realize your beard was removed (1/4" isn't much...)

To the barber: please take this as a lesson. Yes, hair grows back of course. But you should never take such drastic action as you did. And without consulting...

Charlie’s is hands down my go-to barbershop for both me and my son. The vibe is old school, the prices are super affordable, and the cuts are always on point. You can tell they take pride in their work, and it shows every time we walk out with fresh fades. A quick and completely even and straight haircut from a very nice older (70 or so) barber. The young hotshots should come to take lessons from barbers like this. If they took appointments, I would have already scheduled my next.
