Have you ever felt like no one was listening to a word you were saying? Or if they were they just didn’t really care!? Have you ever felt like your dr was more of a robot than an actual person with feelings who cares about you? I hope you answer NO to all, unfortunately I cannot say the same. I have NEVER in my life seen a dr so frazzled and discombobulated! I have never felt more vulnerable, scared, confused and alone, and felt left out to dry by a medical professional (and I’m using that term very lightly) who’s goals should be improving a patients quality of life, rather than hindering it! My brother is autistic & recently diagnosed with cancer. My biggest fear is my brother not receiving the care he needs because of his autism. Every staff has gone above and beyond with my brother. Especially william for hooking my brother up to the TV to play his nintendo switch durning his chemotherapy. Smillow has made the hardest time in our life so much easier because I know I don't need to fight for his needs because they already understand them. I cannot praise this facility more. I received the utmost care from every person there, from the doctors, nurses, receptionists and volunteers. It was the scariest time of my life and all were so caring. They took the time to talk with me and my husband and got to know us as people, not just a patient.
