Hands Down, I think the Luce Line Orchard is the best family oriented place I have been. Great food and family fun is what it's all about. Everything from Hay Rides, Free Concerts, A Corn pit for the little's. Farm Animals, Apple Sling shots, Face Painting, Adult Beverages, Amazing Food! Even some food trucks with sweet treats on the weekends. š A wonderful walking trail around the farm to visit with the animals and all kinds of places to play and take family photos, or engagement photos, maybe even wedding photos! Luceline Orchard is so fun, We can not get enough of going out here and just hanging out for just a day of relaxation and meeting people and enjoying the atmosphere. We enjoy the hay rides and the Corn Maze and the fantastic food. Especially the grilled Apple slaw they put on their pork chops and Brats! ā¤ļø And don't forget to pick up your Maple Syrup and some Sweet Tangos while you are there and some Honey Butter! It's so good on your Bagels or toast. You are allowed to bring your purse, Diaper bags, pack packs, and camping chair for an extra place to sit if you want in within the farm area as it can get busy, and sometimes the tables can fill up and seating can be tricky if looking for a place to sit down and eat. Bring your wagon if you wish, there are some wagons available if you need one to borrow for a little bit. But it is strongly recommended that you bring your own transportation for your children while at the Orchard to put your Purse, Back Pack, or Diaper Bag. There is Food available for you most of the time, you can bring a picnic lunch. But please do not feed the animals your personal food. There is feed located for a small fee at the Sheep pen for a personal experience up by...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis apple orchard really hit it out of the park! We spent a lovely Saturday afternoon exploring the grounds. First up, a delicious cinnamon whiskey based cocktail called the Fireside Cider at their outdoor bar. Then we strolled over to the storefront where we sampled their honey (locally made on site) and yes, bought a jar to bring home because it was that damn good. There were a few animals roaming around in fenced in areas so we wandered over to pet a cow. Next we just walked a while near the corn field to get away from the crowds & enjoyed sipping our cider on a lovely wooden bench swing made for two. What struck me most was the shear expressions of joy on every employeeās face...from the parking attendant, to the ābartenderā to the store clerk, everyone was happy to be working there. Thereās something to be said about how one runs their family business when itās so obvious people enjoy working there. It makes for a wonderful experience all around. They also had several fair food type vendors boasting long lines so we stuck with cider. I think the only downside is that because it was October, a tad late in the apple season, they had closed the āpick your ownā apples, but we still could buy a bag of Honeycrisp apples to take home. This is country living at its best & we canāt wait to go...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe just got back from the orchard and both my kids dropped into bed exhausted. There was so much for them to do - corn maze, corn pit, playground, tires and hay bales to play on, a petting zoo, a ātrainā ride, the hay ride...
This orchard is small enough that I let my kids run around without feeling like theyād get lost in the crowd, but there was so much to do! Only a few activities cost money and there is no admission fee.
Most importantly, the apple fritters are HEAVENLY. I had my doubts, but as soon as I sampled one, I knew that all apple fritters will now be compared to this one...and likely fall far short. Fried to crispy perfection on the outside, covered in cinnamon and sugar, light fluffy insides, and a soft tart apple right in the middle. They also offer adult beverages and lots of food options (hot dogs, burgers, curds, etc) which is nice.
Everyone who works here is friendly and helpful. The event they put on tonight - bluegrass music and a star gazing event - was phenomenal and far exceeded my expectations. Not even an overcast sky could dampen the fun we had here.
We usually go apple picking once a year, but we will be back for sure! Iāll be getting more apple fritters (and apples) and definitely pick pumpkins in October.
Dang what...
