While vacationing in New Hampshire, we spent the day exploring the Kancamagus Highway and along that highway, we came across the Sabbaday Falls. These falls are nice and the pathway alongside them is easy to trek. The trail goes much further, but if you want a quick, easy hike, the pathway to the falls foots the bill. There is a decent amount of parking here, but it can fill up. If that happens, there are plenty of tourist stops along the Kancamagus Highway to check out and you could easily swing back and try again. Read moreEasy access from the Kancamagus Highway, the parking lot is well marked and a decent size for one of the less well visited of the many waterfalls. The hike in itself is an easy 0.3 mile walk of primarily flat surface with one incline as you approach the falls. There are stairs and a boardwalk close to the falls and a slightly longer loop to bring you to the peak.
We went just after the melts so the water was really moving through there. Unlike other areas, you don't want to get too close or into the water for safety reasons. Read moreless than a half-mile hike is required to view the picturesque waterfalls that make this one of the Kanc's most popular stops. it is one of the most visited waterfalls in New Hampshire and it can be a bit challenging to find a spot to park either in the lot or along the road. it is a 10-15 minute walk to the fall.
You can peek at the lower falls and pool at the base, or climb up along the stairway to the top of the falls. There you can see a 45′ drop to the pool below.
