They put a card in the fence of my building so I scheduled them online. The people that work there are independent contractors and not employees. TIDY says that they are just a software company in the fine print. They do not offer a bond that means coverage if the person breaks or steals something. You get a text message when the person is on the way from the cleaner. I learned it was a male cleaner and as I am a female that lives alone I opted only for a female. You can do that within the app opt for that and they notify you it will limit your options. The person they sent in his place was 15 minutes late and sent a text I am here. That concerned me because I was home and the cleaner was not there. When I raised that issue and the person was late she said I am looking for parking do you still want the clean? I was confused by that because nothing from me indicated I didnāt want the cleaning service anymore. She proceeded to send me more texts stating āthereās no need for disrespectā and she said I am not comfortable and left before even showing up. The person they sent in her place came a few hours later and didnāt really bring any supplies. She said she came on the bus. The place is a small one bedroom and TIDY says that for the 2.5 hour price (they actually are listing the pre paid price if you pay ahead of time) the cleaner should be able to clean most houses. In 2.5 hours this person could not finish cleaning a small kitchen and bathroom and the rest of it was unfinished. After an hour and half I went into the small kitchen to see what was going on and she was folding plastic garbage bags under the sink. Meanwhile she left stains on the stove and the counters full of dishes. They gave me a 30 dollar credit out of the 125 and didnāt send anyone in her place to finish the job. I still have not been able to resolve this issue. But they said they would not send that cleaner again and today was the next two week date. They sent the name of a person who was then rescheduled to someone else and today someone showed up on time. She came with a vacuum and some supplies. She abused me. She started saying how bad my sponges are that I need new ones and she started to go toward the garbage can to throw away three sponges before there were replacements. I said I could order a new one on DoorDash so I ordered a new sponge on DoorDash for her and she started organizing dirty dishes. She said Iāll do the dishes last. I said actually I need those done first thinking of their last person who could not complete two rooms and this person yells at me and goes well if youāre going to get persnickety about it Iām just gonna leave. I know how to clean. And starting yelling at me and berating me and then she left after about 10 minutes. I raised the issue with TIDY and they issued me a refund and I cancelled all future cleanings. After multiple attempts I could not find one person to be able to clean a small one bedroom apartment thatās not...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWriting a review today to warn you of the risks of this company. I have had a very bad experience with this company due to a cleaning gone wrong. They have failed to resolve the huge issue and are very slow to respond. I had booked a deep clean as I was getting a puppy and wanted to make sure the place was spotless and safe for her. Quite the opposite happened as the cleaner broke our shower glass door. She did not have time to do any of the detailed cleaning I had requested as she spent the 2.5 hrs cleaning up the million pieces of glass. So instead of coming home to clean home I came home to a home with a missing shower door and glass still throughout the house with minimally wiped down counters. Now I understand these things are accidents. The cleaner stated "Tidy has insurance, I am insured under them and they will take care of this and replace the door." That has not been done and apparently I did not choose the insured cleaning, but I don't remember even seeing that option when booking my first time. I have received a refund for the cleaning and that is all. The shower replacement has cost us over $250 dollars. They will not help pay for these damages even though they are a licensed and insured company for all their cleaners. I was told I did not choose the option to be more insured so therefore it is not their responsibility and have offered to give me the cleaners info to ask her for the money. HOW INSANE! For being such a large and used company they should have better coverage and customer support. They are so slow to respond and refusing to reimburse me for this awful experience, I have only been given a refund for the cleaning and ended up turning a $150 cleaning into an almost $300 shower door replacement. There is no phone number to call and can only discuss over email. I am very disheartened by this experience. My friend received a full credit for a cleaning she did not approve of while I had more than that with broken glass and no shower door and an unsafe living environment after a cleaning. The least they could do is reimburse me for the shower door replacement and installing and give me a cleaning credit. What a shame that people are highly regarding this company and when things go wrong they will feel quite the opposite. No support and no respect for an individual and their home or financial burden they have put me in. You have...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis was the worst cleaning company I have ever used. I thought paying $339 to have two cleaners for 4 hours would get my 2k sq ft house looking spotless but I was wrong. I could see there was going to be a problem as soon as two different cleaners showed up who didn't know each other and didn't even know they would be working the job together. The managers at Tidy really dropped the ball on sending two different guys that had no intention of working together, as one didn't speak english and the other young man had only been cleaning for a week and it showed. So one guy took the downstairs while the other guy took the upstairs, which initially seemed to work. To be fair the Brazilian guy actually did a halfway decent job on the upstairs but then he left early and refused to work with the rookie kid. The rookie did not know what he was doing. He was moving really slow, spending minutes slowly wiping down cabinet doors and random areas that did not require so much attention, meanwhile he wasn't cleaning the areas he should have been, mainly the floors and bathroom. In the last 30 minutes the rookie was here he was upstairs wiping down picture frames and asking me personal questions about my trips with my wife and kids, which seemed really inappropriate (Does Tidy even train their cleaners?), meanwhile the entire downstairs floor was still dirty. On top of that he ended up using one of my nice dish towels as a rag to clean the floor and after I provided him with a proper mop, he still did a terrible job missing large crumbs and debri, all along the floor. And after all that he had to nerve to tell me his work was worth a 5 star review. Try one star buddy, this is the first and last time I...
