Free parking. There are events in the grandstands every night of the fair from the queen contest to tractor pull and demolition derby. There are rides and food and games. Local 4-Hers show their livestock like pigs, cows, rabbits, ducks, chickens, goats, horses and sheep. Locals can display their canning and baking skills, crafts, quilts, photographs and more in the open class domestic arts building. The Lions Clubs of the county host bingo every evening as well.    Read moreI usually try to hit up all nw indiana fairs whenever possible. Newton county fair has always been the smallest of them all. Was sad to see no rides, just bounce house type of attractions. Only a very small amount of fair food. The only thing that was worth going was the micro wrestlers formally known as "midget wrestling". They were great even though the show was sped along due to storms in the area. Hopefully Newton co fair committee does a better job selecting a carnival to attract more fair goers.
